وَلكِنْ فِرْعَوْنُ لَمَّا رَأَى أَنَّ الْمَطَرَ وَالْبَرَدَ وَالرُّعُودَ انْقَطَعَتْ، عَادَ يُخْطِئُ وَأَغْلَظَ قَلْبَهُ هُوَ وَعَبِيدُهُ.

وَعِنْدَمَا رَأَى فِرْعَوْنُ أَنَّ الْمَطَرَ وَالْبَرَدَ وَالرَّعْدَ قَدْ تَوَقَّفَتْ أَخْطَأَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى وَصَلَّبَ قَلْبَهُ هُوَ وَحَاشِيَتُهُ.
