καὶ εἶπεν ἀγχιστεύς οὐ δυνήσομαι ἀγχιστεῦσαι ἐμαυτῷ μήποτε διαφθείρω τὴν κληρονομίαν μου ἀγχίστευσον σεαυτῷ τὴν ἀγχιστείαν μου ὅτι οὐ δυνήσομαι ἀγχιστεῦσαι

فَقَالَ الْوَلِيُّ: «لاَ أَقْدِرُ أَنْ أَفُكَّ لِنَفْسِي لِئَلاَّ أُفْسِدَ مِيرَاثِي. فَفُكَّ أَنْتَ لِنَفْسِكَ فِكَاكِي لأَنِّي لاَ أَقْدِرُ أَنْ أَفُكَّ».

فَأَجَابَهُ الْوَلِيُّ الأَقْرَبُ: «لا يُمْكِنُنِي أَنْ أَشْتَرِيَ الْحَقْلَ لِئَلّا أُفْسِدَ مِيرَاثِي، فَاشْتَرِ أَنْتَ الْحَقْلَ عِوَضاً عَنِّي لأَنَّنِي لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ فِكَاكَهُ».

And the kinsman said, I shall not be able to redeem it for myself, lest I mar my own inheritance; do thou redeem my right for thyself, for I shall not be able to redeem it.
