وَأَخَذَ عَصَاهُ بِيَدِهِ، وَانْتَخَبَ لَهُ خَمْسَةَ حِجَارَةٍ مُلْسٍ مِنَ الْوَادِي وَجَعَلَهَا فِي كِنْفِ الرُّعَاةِ الَّذِي لَهُ، أَيْ فِي الْجِرَابِ، وَمِقْلاَعَهُ بِيَدِهِ وَتَقَدَّمَ نَحْوَ الْفِلِسْطِينِيِّ.
