Then he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I am through with him, lo, the prince of Greece will come.

فَسَأَلَنِي: «هَلْ أَدْرَكْتَ لِمَاذَا جِئْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَالآنَ هَا أَنَا أَعُودُ لأُحَارِبَ رَئِيسَ فَارِسَ، وَمَا إِنْ أَنْتَهِي مِنْهُ حَتَّى يُقْبِلَ رَئِيسُ الْيُونَانِ.

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הֲיָדַ֨עְתָּ֙ לָמָּה־בָּ֣אתִי אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְעַתָּ֣ה אָשׁ֔וּב לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם עִם־שַׂ֣ר פָּרָ֑ס וַאֲנִ֣י יוֹצֵ֔א וְהִנֵּ֥ה שַׂר־יָוָ֖ן בָּֽא׃

καὶ εἶπεν εἰ οἶδας ἵνα τί ἦλθον πρὸς σέ καὶ νῦν ἐπιστρέψω τοῦ πολεμῆσαι μετὰ ἄρχοντος Περσῶν καὶ ἐγὼ ἐξεπορευόμην καὶ ἄρχων τῶν Ἑλλήνων ἤρχετο

فَقَالَ: «هَلْ عَرَفْتَ لِمَاذَا جِئْتُ إِلَيْكَ؟ فَالآنَ أَرْجعُ وَأُحَارِبُ رَئِيسَ فَارِسَ. فَإِذَا خَرَجْتُ هُوَذَا رَئِيسُ الْيُونَانِ يَأْتِي.

And he said, Knowest thou, wherefore I am come to thee? and now I will return to fight with the prince of the Persians: and I was going in, and the prince of the Greeks came.
