«نَدِمْتُ عَلَى أَنِّي قَدْ جَعَلْتُ شَاوُلَ مَلِكًا، لأَنَّهُ رَجَعَ مِنْ وَرَائِي وَلَمْ يُقِمْ كَلاَمِي». فَاغْتَاظَ صَمُوئِيلُ وَصَرَخَ إِلَى الرَّبِّ اللَّيْلَ كُلَّهُ.
