وَلَمَّا رَأَى جَمِيعُ الْمُلُوكِ، عَبِيدُ هَدَرِ عَزَرَ أَنَّهُمُ انْكَسَرُوا أَمَامَ إِسْرَائِيلَ، صَالَحُوا إِسْرَائِيلَ وَاسْتُعْبِدُوا لَهُمْ، وَخَافَ أَرَامُ أَنْ يُنْجِدُوا بَنِي عَمُّونَ بَعْدُ.

وَحِينَ أَدْرَكَ جَمِيعُ حُلَفَاءِ هَدَدْعَزَرَ أَنَّهُمُ انْدَحَرُوا أَمَامَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ، عَقَدُوا صُلْحاً مَعَهُمْ وَأَصْبَحُوا تَابِعِينَ لَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَجْرُؤُوا عَلَى نَجْدَةِ بَنِي عَمُّونَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ.
