وَفِي ذَاتِ يَوْمٍ قَالَ يُونَاثَانُ بْنُ شَاوُلَ لِلْغُلاَمِ حَامِلِ سِلاَحِهِ: «تَعَالَ نَعْبُرْ إِلَى حَفَظَةِ الْفِلِسْطِينِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ فِي ذلِكَ الْعَبْرِ». وَلَمْ يُخْبِرْ أَبَاهُ.
