لأَنَّهُ حَيٌّ هُوَ الرَّبُّ مُخَلِّصُ إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَلَوْ كَانَتْ فِي يُونَاثَانَ ابْنِي فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مَوْتًا». وَلَمْ يَكُنْ مَنْ يُجِيبُهُ مِنْ كُلِّ الشَّعْبِ.

لأَنَّهُ حَيٌّ هُوَ الرَّبُّ مُخَلِّصُ إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ هُوَ جَزَاءُ مُرْتَكِبِ الْخَطِيئَةِ حَتَّى لَوْ كَانَ جَانِيهَا ابْنِي يُونَاثَانَ». فَاعْتَصَمَ الْقَوْمُ بِالصَّمْتِ.
