      4. The manner – Act 1:11
        1. Physical
        2. Sudden
        3. Visible
    2. It is an urgent nearness
      1. Christians should know the night is far gone
      2. Christians should know the dawn is breaking
  2. The Application for Us – Rom 13:12-14
    1. Wake up!
      1. Get out of darkness
        1. Revelry – noisy, disturbing, nuisance, inconsiderate
        2. Drunkenness – uncontrolled conduct, destroyer
        3. Immorality – forbidden relationships, disobedience to Scripture
        4. Shamelessness – open exhibition of evil, no honor or decency, arrogant denial of modesty, lost to shame
        5. Contention – strife, warfare, extreme selfishness
        6. Envy – ill will toward others, gain, discontent
    2. Get dressed!
      1. Take off the night clothes
      2. Put on the day clothes
        1. The armor of light
        2. The Lord Jesus Christ
          1. Christ – eternal, appointed
          2. Jesus – human, Savior
            1. The Royal Robe of Righteousness
            2. The ultimate beauty
    3. Go to work!
      1. Behave as a son of God
      2. Do not be controlled by our own nature – flesh
      3. Live the message – Christ is Lord
