36-37 节描述了帐幕入口的制造流程。它是帐幕的门帘。译为门帘 (希伯来文 "masak" ) 的词与 31 节译为幔子的词不同，但它也是用蓝色、紫色、朱红色线 (可能是羊毛)，和捻的细麻做成，与 31 节的幔子一样。与帐幕中的其它物品一样，它是用绣花的手工织成，也就是巧匠所制。
为了支撑门帘，要用皂荚木为帘子做五根柱子，用金子包裹。柱子上当有金钩。与柱子相连，需要用铜铸造五个带卯的座。这卯 (希伯来文 "eden"，也译为 "底座")，作为门帘柱子的基座，是用铜制造。注意为幔子做的卯是银的。
帐幕的设计是要反射全能君主耶和华在祂附庸 (以色列) 中间的荣耀同在，是在百姓中间的住所。它的设计要展示祂的同在，也要隐藏祂的同在。这可能是我们目前的状态，神的荣耀在所造之物中间彰显 (诗篇 19 篇)，同时祂的荣耀也是隐藏的，所以如果人渴望自己的路，就会将其忽略。
