耶和华晓谕摩西的下一个主题涉及了帐幕的另一个配置。摩西要用铜做洗濯盆和盆座。铜来自 "会幕门前伺候之妇人的镜子" (出埃及记 38:8)。洗濯盆的目的是用来洗洁。耶和华指示摩西将盆放在会幕和坛的中间，就是燔祭坛和帐幕中间的位置。摩西也要在盆里盛水。
