信心是希伯来书的重点。信心使我们在上帝面前称义，并使我们继续顺服。我们都有机会继续生活在对上帝的信仰和顺服中。如果我们这样做，我们将获得耶稣的遗产作为奖励。信心让我们确信并让我们相信我们所希望的是真实的。它让我们相信上帝的承诺：顺服是值得的，并且会有更大的回报。
值得注意的是，信心只适用于人看不见的事物。保罗书信作者将信心定义为对我们看不见的事物有信心，就像我们看得见一样：信是对所盼望之事的保证，是对未见之事的确据（第 1 节） 。
当我们确信或相信我们无法像亲眼所见那样确定的事情时，我们就有信心了。古人[ 在我们之前的人 ]凭着信心得到了上帝的认可( 第 2 节 )，并将得到奖赏。我们看不见上帝。但信心让我们确信上帝对我们的承诺是真实的，就像我们亲眼所见一样。
信心也是确信我们所希望的事情一定会实现，就像我们已经拥有它一样。译为确信的希腊词是“ hupostasis” ，也可以译为“实现”。这里的句子可以表述为“凭着信心，所希望的事情就会实现”，或“所希望的事情就会变成现实”。
每个人都在寻求他们认为对自己最有利的东西。在《希伯来书》中，保罗的作者告诫我们，上帝的奖赏远比我们今生在地上所能追求的任何东西都要大得多。如果我们凭着对基督的信心生活，放下自私，顺从圣灵的指引，信徒将得到与基督在地上共同统治的“荣耀和尊贵”的奖赏（希伯来书 2:9）。
在上帝眼中被称义和免于地狱之灾的礼物不能从任何信徒身上夺走（提摩太后书 2:13），但这里所说的奖赏和认可是给予那些一生信奉耶稣的信徒的。
这是通往彻底实现的道路，这就是耶稣想要带领“众多儿子”走向的道路，分享他对弥赛亚王国统治的荣耀（希伯来书 2:10，罗马书 8:17）。
信心是我们所希望的实现，它真实得就像已经掌握在我们手中一样。凭着信心，我们可以看到所应许的，凭着顺服，我们的信心得以维持（雅各书 2:26）。
