With your faithful love,
you will lead the people
you have redeemed;
you will guide them to your holy dwelling
with your strength.
“Do not act unjustly when deciding a case. Do not be partial to the poor or give preference to the rich; judge your neighbor fairly.
“Therefore, fear the LORD and worship him in sincerity and truth. Get rid of the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and worship the LORD.
And Solomon replied, “You have shown great and faithful love to your servant, my father David, because he walked before you in faithfulness, righteousness, and integrity.[fn] You have continued this great and faithful love for him by giving him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.
“So give your servant a receptive heart to judge your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of yours? ”
“Blessed be the LORD your God! He delighted in you and put you on the throne of Israel, because of the LORD's eternal love for Israel. He has made you king to carry out justice and righteousness.”
I will cling to my righteousness and never let it go.
My conscience will not accuse me as long as I live!
LORD, lead me in your righteousness
because of my adversaries;
make your way straight before me.
And he judges the world with righteousness;
he executes judgment on the nations with fairness.
But I will see your face in righteousness;
when I awake, I will be satisfied with your presence.[fn]
How happy is the one you choose
and bring near to live in your courts!
We will be satisfied with the goodness of your house,
the holiness of your temple.[fn]

for he is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness
and the peoples with his faithfulness.

The house of the righteous has great wealth,
but trouble accompanies the income of the wicked.
A righteous person acts with integrity;
his children who come after him will be happy.
Remove the wicked from the king's presence,
and his throne will be established in righteousness.
But the LORD of Armies is exalted by his justice,
and the holy God demonstrates his holiness through his righteousness.
The dominion will be vast,
and its prosperity will never end.
He will reign on the throne of David
and over his kingdom,
to establish and sustain it
with justice and righteousness from now on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD of Armies will accomplish this.
Israel, even if your people were as numerous
as the sand of the sea,
only a remnant of them will return.
Destruction has been decreed;
justice overflows.
Righteousness will be a belt around his hips;
faithfulness will be a belt around his waist.
The one who lives righteously
and speaks rightly,
who refuses profit from extortion,
whose hand never takes a bribe,
who stops his ears from listening to murderous plots
and shuts his eyes against evil schemes —
“I am the LORD. I have called you
for a righteous purpose,[fn]
and I will hold you by your hand.
I will watch over you, and I will appoint you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light to the nations,
“and you will be established
on a foundation of righteousness.
You will be far from oppression,
you will certainly not be afraid;
you will be far from terror,
it will certainly not come near you.
I will bring gold instead of bronze;
I will bring silver instead of iron,
bronze instead of wood,
and iron instead of stones.
I will appoint peace as your government
and righteousness as your overseers.
then you can swear, “As the LORD lives,”
in truth, justice, and righteousness,
and then the nations will be blessed[fn] by him
and will boast in him.
“Even if these three men — Noah, Daniel, and Job — were in it, they would rescue only themselves by their righteousness.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.
“Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live” — the declaration of the Lord GOD — “they could not rescue their son or daughter. They would rescue only themselves by their righteousness.
“None of the transgressions he has committed will be held against him. He will live because of the righteousness he has practiced.
“When I tell the righteous person that he will surely live, but he trusts in his righteousness and acts unjustly, then none of his righteousness will be remembered, and he will die because of the injustice he has committed.
I will take you to be my wife forever.
I will take you to be my wife in righteousness,
justice, love, and compassion.
“I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their faithful and righteous God.”
