“[fn]Who H4310 is this H2088 coming H5927 up H5927 from the wilderness H4057
Leaning H7514 on her beloved H1730?”
“[fn]Beneath H8478 the [fn]apple H8598 tree H8598 I awakened H5782 you;

Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to me in the days H3117 of Josiah H2977 the king H4428, “Have you seen H7200 what H834 faithless H4878 Israel H3478 did H6213? She went H1980 up on every H3605 high H1364 hill H2022 and under H8478 every H3605 green H7488 tree H6086, and she was a harlot H2181 there H8033.
Behold H2009, the sound H6963! The cry H7775 of the daughter H1323 of my people H5971 from a distant H4801 land H776:
“Is Yahweh H3068 not in Zion H6726? Is her King H4428 not within her?”
“Why H4069 have they provoked H3707 Me to anger H3707 with their graven H6456 images H6456, with foreign H5236 [fn]idols H1892?”
For thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068 in regard H413 to [fn]Shallum H7967 the son H1121 of Josiah H2977, king H4428 of Judah H3063, who became H4427 king H4427 in H8478 the place H8478 of H8478 Josiah H2977 his father H1, who H834 went H3318 forth H3318 from this H2088 place H4725, “He will never H3808 H5750 return H7725 there H8033;

Therefore H3651, thus H3541 says H559 Lord H136 Yahweh H3068, “Behold H2009, I am against H413 your magic bands H3704 by which H834 you hunt H6679 souls H5315 there H8033 as [fn]birds H6524, and I will tear H7167 them from your arms H2220; and I will let H7971 their souls H7971 go, the very souls H5315 whom H834 you hunt H6679 as [fn]birds H6524.
‘Thus H3541 says H559 Lord H136 Yahweh H3068, “When I gather H6908 the house H1004 of Israel H3478 from the peoples H5971, among whom H834 they are scattered H6327, and will manifest H6942 My holiness H6942 in them in the sight H5869 of the nations H1471, then they will live H3427 in their [fn]land H127 which H834 I gave H5414 to My servant H5650 Jacob H3290.
“Elam H5867 is there H8033 and all H3605 her multitude H1995 all around H5439 her grave H6900; all H3605 of them slain H2491, fallen H5307 by the sword H2719, who H834 went H3381 down H3381 uncircumcised H6189 to the lower H8482 parts H8482 of the earth H776, who H834 put H5414 their terror H2851 in the land H776 of the living H2416 and bore H5375 their dishonor H3639 with those who went H3381 down H3381 to the pit H953.
“There H8033 also are the [fn]chiefs H5257 of the north H6828, all H3605 of them, and all H3605 the Sidonians H6722, who H834 in spite of the terror H2851 resulting from their might H1369, in H954 shame H954 went H3381 down H3381 with the slain H2491. “Therefore H3651 say H559 to the house H1004 of Israel H3478, ‘Thus H3541 says H559 Lord H136 Yahweh H3068, “It is not for your sake H4616, O house H1004 of Israel H3478, that I am about to act H6213, but for My holy H6944 name H8034, which H834 you have profaned H2490 among the nations H1471, to which H834 H8033 you have come H935.
“And it will be in that day H3117, that I will give H5414 Gog H1463 a burial H6913 ground H4725 there H8033 in Israel H3478, the valley H1516 of those who pass H5674 by H5674 east H6926 of the sea H3220, and it will block H2629 off H2629 those who would pass H5674 by H5674. So they will bury H6912 Gog H1463 there H8033 with all H3605 his multitude H1995, and they will call H7121 it the valley H1516 of [fn]Hamon-gog H1996.
Then he said H559 to me, “The north H6828 chambers H3957 and the south H1864 chambers H3957, which H834 are opposite H413 H6440 the separate H1508 area H1508, they are the holy H6944 chambers H3957 where H834 H8033 the priests H3548 who H834 are near H7138 to Yahweh H3068 shall eat H398 the most H6944 holy H6944 things H6944. “To You, O Lord H136, belongs righteousness H6666, but to us [fn]open H6440 shame H1322, as it is this H2088 day H3117—to the men H376 of Judah H3063, the inhabitants H3427 of Jerusalem H3389, and all H3605 Israel H3478, those who are nearby H7138 and those who are far H7350 away in all H3605 the countries H776 to which H834 You have banished H5080 them, because of their unfaithful H4603 H4604 deeds H4604 which H834 they have committed H4603 against You.
I will gather H6908 all H3605 the nations H1471
And bring H3381 them down H3381 to the valley H6010 of [fn]Jehoshaphat H3092.
Then I will enter H8199 into H8199 judgment H8199 with them there H8033
On H5921 behalf H5921 of H5921 My people H5971 and My inheritance H5159, Israel H3478,
Whom H834 they have scattered H6340 among the nations H1471;
“And though H518 they hide H2244 on the [fn]top H7218 of Carmel H3760,
From there H8033 I will search H2664 them out H2664 and take H3947 them;
And though H518 they conceal H5641 themselves from My eyes H5869 on the floor H7172 of the sea H3220,
From there H8033 I will command H6680 the serpent H5175, and it will bite H5391 them.
