LXX Concordance for ἔρχονται

“Look, the days are coming when I will cut off your strength and the strength of your forefather's family, so that none in your family will reach old age.

So the people of Kiriath-jearim came for the ark of the LORD and took it to Abinadab's house on the hill. They consecrated his son Eleazar to take care of it.

When the messengers came to Gibeah, Saul's hometown, and told the terms to the people, all wept aloud.

Saul and all the troops with him assembled and marched to the battle, and there the Philistines were, fighting against each other in great confusion!

When the agents arrived, to their surprise, the household idol was on the bed with some goat hair on its head.

David's young men went and said all these things to Nabal on David's behalf,[fn] and they waited.[fn]

Then the Ziphites came to Saul at Gibeah saying, “David is hiding on the hill of Hachilah opposite Jeshimon.”

The Philistines gathered and camped at Shunem. So Saul gathered all Israel, and they camped at Gilboa.

Saul disguised himself by putting on different clothes and set out with two of his men. They came to the woman at night, and Saul said, “Consult a spirit for me. Bring up for me the one I tell you.”

So David and the six hundred men with him went. They came to the Wadi Besor, where some stayed behind.

When the men of Israel on the other side of the valley and on the other side of the Jordan saw that Israel's men had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned the cities and fled. So the Philistines came and settled in them.

Then the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. They told David, “It was the men of Jabesh-gilead who buried Saul.”

So Abner and his men marched through the Arabah all that night. They crossed the Jordan, marched all morning,[fn] and arrived at Mahanaim.

So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron. King David made a covenant with them at Hebron in the LORD's presence, and they anointed David king over Israel.

Hadad and his men set out from Midian and went to Paran. They took men with them from Paran and went to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave Hadad a house, ordered that he be given food, and gave him land.

Now a certain old prophet was living in Bethel. His son[fn] came and told him all the deeds that the man of God had done that day in Bethel. His sons also told their father the words that he had spoken to the king.

“‘Look, the days are coming when everything in your palace and all that your predecessors have stored up until today will be carried off to Babylon; nothing will be left,' says the LORD.

I went to the house of Shemaiah son of Delaiah, son of Mehetabel, who was restricted to his house. He said:

Let's meet at the house of God,

inside the temple.

Let's shut the temple doors

because they're coming to kill you.

They're coming to kill you tonight![fn]

He raises a signal flag for the distant nations

and whistles for them from the ends of the earth.

Look ​— ​how quickly and swiftly they come!

I have commanded my consecrated ones;

yes, I have called my warriors,

who celebrate my triumph,

to execute my wrath.

A troubling vision is declared to me:

“The treacherous one acts treacherously,

and the destroyer destroys.

Advance, Elam! Lay siege, you Medes!

I will put an end to all the groaning.”

A pronouncement concerning Tyre:

Wail, ships of Tarshish,

for your haven has been destroyed.

Word has reached them from the land of Cyprus.[fn]

“‘Look, the days are coming when everything in your palace and all that your predecessors have stored up until today will be carried off to Babylon; nothing will be left,' says the LORD.

See, these will come from far away,

from the north and from the west,[fn]

and from the land of Sinim.[fn][fn]

Warn the nations: Look!

Proclaim to Jerusalem:

Those who besiege are coming

from a distant land;

they raise their voices

against the cities of Judah.

“Therefore, look, the days are coming” ​— ​the LORD's declaration ​— ​“when this place will no longer be called Topheth and Ben Hinnom Valley, but Slaughter Valley. Topheth will become a cemetery,[fn] because there will be no other burial place.

“ ‘Look, the days are coming ​— ​this is the LORD's declaration ​— ​when I will punish all the circumcised yet uncircumcised:

“However, look, the days are coming” ​— ​the LORD's declaration ​— ​“when it will no longer be said, ‘As the LORD lives who brought the Israelites from the land of Egypt,'

“ ‘Therefore, look, the days are coming ​— ​this is the LORD's declaration ​— ​when this place will no longer be called Topheth and Ben Hinnom Valley, but Slaughter Valley.

“Look, the days are coming” ​— ​this is the LORD's declaration —

“when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David.

He will reign wisely as king

and administer justice and righteousness in the land.

“Look, the days are coming” ​— ​the LORD's declaration ​— ​“when it will no longer be said, ‘As the LORD lives who brought the Israelites from the land of Egypt,'

“for look, the days are coming” ​— ​this is the LORD's declaration ​— ​“when I will restore the fortunes[fn] of my people Israel and Judah,” says the LORD. “I will restore them to the land I gave to their ancestors and they will possess it.”

“Look, the days are coming” ​— ​this is the LORD's declaration ​— ​“when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of people and the seed of animals.

“Look, the days are coming” ​— ​this is the LORD's declaration ​— ​“when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

“Look, the days are coming” ​— ​the LORD's declaration ​— ​“when the city[fn] from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate will be rebuilt for the LORD.

Therefore look, the days are coming —

this is the LORD's declaration —

when I will send pourers to him, who will pour him out.

They will empty his containers

and smash his jars.

Therefore look, the days are coming —

this is the LORD's declaration —

when I will make the shout of battle heard

against Rabbah of the Ammonites.

It will become a desolate mound,

and its surrounding villages will be set on fire.

Israel will dispossess their dispossessors,

says the LORD.

Therefore, look, the days are coming —

this is the LORD's declaration —

when I will punish her carved images,

and the wounded will groan

throughout her land.

“So my people come to you in crowds,[fn] sit in front of you, and hear your words, but they don't obey them. Their mouths go on passionately, but their hearts pursue dishonest profit.

The Lord GOD has sworn by his holiness:

Look, the days are coming[fn]

when you will be taken away with hooks,

every last one of you with fishhooks.

Look, the days are coming —

this is the declaration of the Lord GOD —

when I will send a famine through the land:

not a famine of bread or a thirst for water,

but of hearing the words of the LORD.

Look, the days are coming —

this is the LORD's declaration —

when the plowman will overtake the reaper

and the one who treads grapes,

the sower of seed.

The mountains will drip with sweet wine,

and all the hills will flow with it.

I asked, “What are they coming to do? ”

He replied, “These are the horns that scattered Judah so no one could raise his head. These craftsmen have come to terrify them, to cut off[fn] the horns of the nations that raised a horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

Look, a day belonging to the LORD is coming when the plunder taken from you will be divided in your presence.
