Love and Serve Yahweh

1 “You shall therefore love ^H157 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430, and keep ^H8104 His charge ^H4931, His statutes ^H2708, His judgments ^H4941, and His commandments ^H4687 all ^H3605 your days ^H3117.

13 “And it will be ^H1961 that, if ^H518 you listen ^H8085 obediently ^H8085 to my commandments ^H4687 which ^H834 I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117, to love ^H157 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 and to serve ^H5647 Him with all ^H3605 your heart ^H3824 and all ^H3605 your soul ^H5315, 14 that [fn]I, Yahweh, will give ^H5414 the rain ^H4306 for your land ^H776 in its season ^H6256, the [fn]early ^H3138 and [fn]late ^H4456 rains ^H3138 H4456, that you may gather ^H622 in ^H622 your grain ^H1715 and your new ^H8492 wine ^H8492 and your oil ^H3323. 15 And [fn]I will give ^H5414 [fn]grass ^H6212 in your fields ^H7704 for your cattle ^H929, and you will eat ^H398 and be ^H7646 satisfied ^H7646. 16 [fn]Beware ^H8104 lest ^H6435 your hearts ^H3824 be deceived ^H6601, and you turn ^H5493 away ^H5493 and serve ^H5647 other ^H312 gods ^H430 and worship ^H2331 them, 17 and the anger ^H639 of Yahweh ^H3068 will be kindled ^H2734 against you, and He will shut ^H6113 up ^H6113 the heavens ^H8064 so that there will be no ^H3808 rain ^H4306 and the ground ^H127 will not yield ^H5414 its fruit ^H2981; and you will perish ^H6 quickly ^H4120 from the good ^H2896 land ^H776 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 is giving ^H5414 you.

18 “You shall therefore place ^H7760 these ^H428 words ^H1697 of mine on your heart ^H3824 and on your soul ^H5315; and you shall bind ^H7194 them as a sign ^H226 on your hand ^H3027, and they shall be as [fn]phylacteries ^H2903 between ^H996 your eyes ^H5869. 19 And you shall teach ^H3925 them to your sons ^H1121, speaking ^H1696 of them when you sit ^H3427 in your house ^H1004 and when you walk ^H1980 along the road ^H1870 and when you lie ^H7901 down ^H7901 and when you rise ^H6965 up ^H6965. 20 And you shall write ^H3789 them on the doorposts ^H4201 of your house ^H1004 and on your gates ^H8179, 21 so ^H4616 that your days ^H3117 and the days ^H3117 of your sons ^H1121 may be multiplied ^H7235 on the land ^H127 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 swore ^H7650 to your fathers ^H1 to give ^H5414 them, as [fn]long ^H3117 as the heavens ^H8064 remain above ^H5921 the earth ^H776. 22 For if ^H518 you are ^H8104 careful ^H8104 to keep ^H8104 this ^H2088 entire ^H3605 commandment ^H4687 which ^H834 I am commanding ^H6680 you to do ^H6213, to love ^H157 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430, to walk ^H1980 in all ^H3605 His ways ^H1870, and to cling ^H1692 to Him, 23 then Yahweh ^H3068 will dispossess ^H3423 all ^H3605 these ^H428 nations ^H1471 from before ^H4480 H6440 you, and you will dispossess ^H3423 nations ^H1471 greater ^H1419 and mightier ^H6099 than ^H4480 you. 24 Every ^H3605 place ^H4725 on which ^H834 the sole ^H3709 of your foot ^H7272 treads ^H1869 shall be yours; your border ^H1366 will be from the wilderness ^H4057 to Lebanon ^H3844, and from the river ^H5104, the river ^H5104 Euphrates ^H6578, as far ^H5704 as the [fn]western ^H314 sea ^H3220. 25 No ^H3808 man ^H376 will be able to stand ^H3320 before ^H6440 you; Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 will put ^H5414 the dread ^H6343 of you and the fear ^H4172 of you on all ^H3605 the land ^H776 on which ^H834 you set ^H1869 foot ^H1869, as He has spoken ^H1696 to you.

A Blessing and a Curse

26 “See ^H7200, I am setting ^H5414 before ^H6440 you today ^H3117 a blessing ^H1293 and a curse ^H7045:

27 the blessing ^H1293, if ^H834 you listen ^H8085 to the commandments ^H4687 of Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430, which ^H834 I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117; 28 and the curse ^H7045, if ^H518 you do not listen ^H8085 to the commandments ^H4687 of Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430, but turn ^H5493 aside ^H5493 from the way ^H1870 which ^H834 I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117, by walking ^H1980 after ^H310 other ^H312 gods ^H430 which ^H834 you have not known ^H3045.

29 “And it will be ^H1961, when ^H3588 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 brings ^H935 you into the land ^H776 where ^H834 H8033 you are entering ^H935 to possess ^H3423 it, that you shall set ^H5414 the blessing ^H1293 on Mount ^H2022 Gerizim ^H1630 and the curse ^H7045 on Mount ^H2022 Ebal ^H5858. 30 Are they not across ^H5676 the Jordan ^H3383, west ^H310 of the way ^H1870 toward the sunset ^H8121 H3996, in the land ^H776 of the Canaanites ^H3669 who live ^H3427 in the Arabah ^H6160, opposite ^H4136 Gilgal ^H1537, beside ^H681 the [fn]oaks ^H436 of Moreh ^H4176? 31 For you are about to cross ^H5674 the Jordan ^H3383 to go ^H935 in ^H935 to possess ^H3423 the land ^H776 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 is giving ^H5414 you, and you shall possess ^H3423 it and live ^H3427 in it, 32 and you shall be ^H8104 careful ^H8104 to do ^H6213 all ^H3605 the statutes ^H2706 and the judgments ^H4941 which ^H834 I am setting ^H5414 before ^H6440 you today ^H3117.
