“Declare ^H5046 and make it heard ^H8085 among the nations ^H1471.

Make it heard ^H8085 and lift ^H5375 up ^H5375 a standard ^H5251.

Do not conceal ^H3582 it but say ^H559,

‘Babylon ^H894 has been captured ^H3920;

Bel ^H1078 has been put ^H954 to ^H954 shame ^H954; [fn]Marduk ^H4781 has been ^H2865 [fn]shattered ^H2865;

Her images ^H6091 have been put ^H954 to ^H954 shame ^H954; her idols ^H1544 have been ^H2865 shattered ^H2865.’

“For a nation ^H1471 has come ^H5927 up ^H5927 against ^H5921 her out of the north ^H6828; it will make ^H7896 her land ^H776 an object ^H8047 of ^H8047 horror ^H8047, and there will be no ^H3808 inhabitant ^H3427 in it. Both ^H4480 man ^H120 and beast ^H929 have wandered ^H5110 off ^H5110; they have gone ^H1980 away!

“They seize ^H2388 their bow ^H7198 and [fn]javelin ^H3591;

Their voice ^H6963 roars ^H1993 like the sea ^H3220;

And they ride ^H7392 on horses ^H5483,

Against ^H5921 you, O daughter ^H1323 of Babylon ^H894.
