For the choir director. Of David. A Psalm.

O God ^H430 of my praise ^H8416,

Do not be ^H2790 silent ^H2790!

For they have opened ^H6605 a wicked ^H7563 mouth ^H6310 and a deceitful ^H4820 mouth ^H6310 against ^H5921 me;

They have spoken ^H1696 to ^H854 me with a lying ^H8267 tongue ^H3956.

They have also surrounded ^H5437 me with words ^H1697 of hatred ^H8135,

And fought ^H3898 against me without ^H2600 cause ^H2600.

In ^H8478 return ^H8478 for ^H8478 my love ^H160 they accuse ^H7853 me;

But I am in prayer ^H8605.

Thus they have set ^H7760 upon me evil ^H7451 for good ^H2896

And hatred ^H8135 for my love ^H160.

Appoint ^H6485 a wicked ^H7563 man ^H7563 over ^H5921 him,

And of those who speak ^H1696 evil ^H7451 against ^H5921 my soul ^H5315.

But as for You, O Yahweh ^H3068, O Lord ^H136, deal ^H6213 with me for Your name’s ^H8034 sake ^H4616;

Because ^H3588 Your lovingkindness ^H2617 is good ^H2896, deliver ^H5337 me;

For I am afflicted ^H6041 and needy ^H34,

And [fn]my heart ^H3820 is pierced ^H2490 within ^H7130 me.

Let them curse ^H7043, but You bless ^H1288;

[fn]Let my accusers ^H7853 be clothed ^H3847 with dishonor ^H3639,

With my mouth ^H6310 I will give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 abundantly ^H3966 to Yahweh ^H3068;

And in the midst ^H8432 of many ^H7227 I will praise ^H1984 Him.

For He stands ^H5975 at the right ^H3225 hand ^H3225 of the needy ^H34,

To save ^H3467 him from those who judge ^H8199 his soul ^H5315.
