A Tent for the Ark

1 And they brought ^H935 in ^H935 the ark ^H727 of God ^H430 and placed ^H3322 it inside ^H8432 the tent ^H168 which ^H834 David ^H1732 had pitched ^H5186 for it, and they offered ^H7126 burnt ^H5930 offerings ^H5930 and peace ^H8002 offerings ^H8002 before ^H6440 God ^H430.

2 When David ^H1732 had finished ^H3615 offering ^H5927 the burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 and the peace ^H8002 offerings ^H8002, he blessed ^H1288 the people ^H5971 in the name ^H8034 of the LORD ^H3068. 3 Then he distributed ^H2505 to everyone ^H3605 of Israel ^H3478, both ^H4480 men ^H376 and women ^H802, to everyone ^H376 a loaf ^H3603 of bread ^H3899, a portion ^H829 of meat, and a raisin ^H809 cake ^H809.

4 He appointed ^H5414 some ^H4480 of the Levites ^H3881 as ministers ^H8334 before ^H6440 the ark ^H727 of the LORD ^H3068, to celebrate ^H2142 and to thank ^H3034 and praise ^H1984 the LORD ^H3068 God ^H430 of Israel ^H3478: 5 Asaph ^H623 the chief ^H7218, and second ^H4932 to him Zechariah ^H2148, then [fn]Jeiel ^H3262, Shemiramoth ^H8070, Jehiel ^H3171, Mattithiah ^H4993, Eliab ^H446, Benaiah ^H1141, Obed-edom ^H5654, and Jeiel ^H3262, with musical instruments ^H3627, harps ^H5035, and lyres ^H3658; also Asaph ^H623 played loud-sounding ^H8085 cymbals ^H4700, 6 and the priests ^H3548 Benaiah ^H1141 and Jahaziel ^H3166 blew trumpets ^H2689 continually ^H8548 before ^H6440 the ark ^H727 of the covenant ^H1285 of God ^H430.

7 Then ^H227 on that day ^H3117 David ^H1732 first ^H7218 assigned ^H5414 [fn]Asaph ^H623 and his relatives ^H251 to give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to the LORD ^H3068.

Psalm of Thanksgiving

8 Give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to the LORD ^H3068, call ^H7121 upon His name ^H8034;

Make ^H3045 His deeds ^H5949 known ^H3045 among the peoples ^H5971.

9 Sing ^H7891 to Him, sing ^H2167 praises ^H2167 to Him;

[fn]Speak ^H7878 of all ^H3605 His [fn]wonders ^H6381.

10 Boast ^H1984 in His holy ^H6944 name ^H8034;

As the portion ^H2256 of your inheritance ^H5159.”

19 When they were only a few ^H4962 in number ^H4557,

Very few ^H4592, and strangers ^H1481 in it,

20 And they wandered ^H1980 from nation ^H1471 to nation ^H1471,

And from one kingdom ^H4467 to another ^H312 people ^H5971,

21 He allowed ^H5117 no ^H3808 one ^H376 to oppress ^H6231 them,

And He rebuked ^H3198 kings ^H4428 for ^H5921 their sakes ^H5921, saying,

22 “Do not touch ^H5060 My anointed ^H4899 ones ^H4899,

And do ^H7489 not harm ^H7489 My prophets ^H5030.”

23 Sing ^H7891 to the LORD ^H3068, all ^H3605 the earth ^H776;

Proclaim ^H1319 good ^H1319 news ^H1319 of His salvation ^H3444 from day ^H3117 to day ^H3117.

24 Tell ^H5608 of His glory ^H3519 among the nations ^H1471,

His wonderful ^H6381 deeds ^H6381 among all ^H3605 the peoples ^H5971.

25 For great ^H1419 is the LORD ^H3068, and greatly ^H3966 to be praised ^H1984;

He also is to be feared ^H3372 above ^H5921 all ^H3605 gods ^H430.

26 For all ^H3605 the gods ^H430 of the peoples ^H5971 are [fn]idols ^H457,

But the LORD ^H3068 made ^H6213 the heavens ^H8064.

27 Splendor ^H1935 and majesty ^H1926 are before ^H6440 Him,

Strength ^H5797 and joy ^H2304 are in His place ^H4725.

28 Ascribe ^H3051 to the LORD ^H3068, you families ^H4940 of the peoples ^H5971,

Ascribe ^H3051 to the LORD ^H3068 glory ^H3519 and strength ^H5797.

29 Ascribe ^H3051 to the LORD ^H3068 the glory ^H3519 due His name ^H8034;

Bring ^H5375 an [fn]offering ^H4503, and come ^H935 before ^H6440 Him;

Worship ^H2331 the LORD ^H3068 in [fn]holy ^H6944 attire ^H1927.

30 Tremble ^H2342 before ^H4480 H6440 Him, all ^H3605 the earth ^H776;

Indeed ^H637, the world ^H8398 is firmly ^H3559 established ^H3559, it will not be moved ^H4131.

31 [fn]Let the heavens ^H8064 be ^H8055 joyful ^H8055, and the earth ^H776 rejoice ^H1523;

And let them say ^H559 among the nations ^H1471, “The LORD ^H3068 reigns ^H4427.”

32 Let the sea ^H3220 [fn]roar ^H7481, and [fn]everything ^H4393 it contains ^H4393;

Let the field ^H7704 rejoice ^H5970, and everything ^H3605 that is in it.

33 Then ^H227 the trees ^H6086 of the forest ^H3293 will sing ^H7442 for ^H7442 joy ^H7442 in the presence ^H6440 of the LORD ^H3068;

For He is coming ^H935 to judge ^H8199 the earth ^H776.

34 Give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to the LORD ^H3068, for He is good ^H2896;

For His faithfulness ^H2617 is everlasting ^H5769.

35 Then say ^H559, “Save ^H3467 us, God ^H430 of our salvation ^H3468,

And gather ^H6908 us and save ^H5337 us from the nations ^H1471,

To give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to Your holy ^H6944 name ^H8034,

And [fn]glory ^H7623 in Your praise ^H8416.”

36 Blessed ^H1288 be the LORD ^H3068, the God ^H430 of Israel ^H3478,

From everlasting ^H5769 to everlasting ^H5769!

Then all ^H3605 the people ^H5971 said ^H559, “Amen ^H543,” and praised ^H1984 the LORD ^H3068.

Worship before the Ark

37 So he left ^H5800 Asaph ^H623 and his relatives ^H251 there ^H8033 before ^H6440 the ark ^H727 of the covenant ^H1285 of the LORD ^H3068, to minister ^H8334 before ^H6440 the ark ^H727 continually ^H8548, as every day’s ^H3117 work ^H1697 required ^H1697,

38 and Obed-edom ^H5654 with [fn]his sixty-eight ^H8346 H8083 relatives ^H251; Obed-edom ^H5654, the son ^H1121 of Jeduthun ^H3038, and Hosah ^H2621 as gatekeepers ^H7778. 39 He left Zadok ^H6659 the priest ^H3548 and his relatives ^H251 the priests ^H3548 before ^H6440 the [fn]tabernacle ^H4908 of the LORD ^H3068 in the high ^H1116 place ^H1116 which ^H834 was at Gibeon ^H1391, 40 to offer ^H5927 burnt ^H5930 offerings ^H5930 to the LORD ^H3068 on the altar ^H4196 of burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 continually ^H8548 morning ^H1242 and evening ^H6153, even according to everything ^H3605 that is written ^H3789 in the Law ^H8451 of the LORD ^H3068, which ^H834 He commanded ^H6680 Israel ^H3478. 41 With them were Heman ^H1968 and Jeduthun ^H3038, and the rest ^H7605 who were chosen ^H1305, who ^H834 were designated ^H5344 by name ^H8034, to give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to the LORD ^H3068, because ^H3588 His [fn]kindness ^H2617 is everlasting ^H5769. 42 And with them were Heman ^H1968 and Jeduthun ^H3038 with trumpets ^H2689 and cymbals ^H4700 for those who were to play ^H8085 them, and with instruments ^H3627 for the songs ^H7892 of God ^H430, and the sons ^H1121 of Jeduthun ^H3038 for the gate ^H8179.

43 Then all ^H3605 the people ^H5971 departed ^H1980, each ^H376 to his house ^H1004; and David ^H1732 returned ^H5437 to bless ^H1288 his household ^H1004.
