The LORD’S Portion of the Land

1 “Now when you divide ^H5307 the land ^H776 by ^H5307 lot ^H5307 for inheritance ^H5159, you shall offer ^H7311 [fn]an allotment ^H8641 to the LORD ^H3068, a holy ^H6944 portion ^H6944 of the land ^H776; the length ^H753 shall be a length ^H753 of twenty-five ^H2568 H6242 thousand ^H505 [fn]cubits, and the width ^H7341 shall be [fn]twenty ^H6235 thousand ^H505. It shall be holy ^H6944 within its entire ^H3605 surrounding ^H5439 boundary ^H1366.

2 Out of this ^H2088 there shall be for the sanctuary ^H6944 a square ^H7251 encompassing ^H5439 five ^H2568 hundred ^H3967 by five ^H2568 hundred ^H3967 cubits, and fifty ^H2572 cubits ^H520 for its [fn]open ^H4054 space ^H4054 round ^H5439 about ^H5439. 3 From this ^H2088 [fn]area ^H4060 you shall measure ^H4058 a length ^H753 of twenty-five ^H2568 H6242 thousand ^H505 cubits and a width ^H7341 of ten ^H6235 thousand ^H505 cubits; and in it shall be the sanctuary ^H4720, the Most ^H6944 Holy ^H6944 Place ^H6944. 4 It shall be the holy ^H6944 portion ^H6944 of the land ^H776; it shall be for the priests ^H3548, the ministers ^H8334 of the sanctuary ^H4720, who come ^H7131 near ^H7131 to serve ^H8334 the LORD ^H3068, and it shall be a place ^H4725 for their houses ^H1004 and a holy ^H4720 place ^H4720 for the sanctuary ^H4720. 5 An area twenty-five ^H2568 H6242 thousand ^H505 cubits in length ^H753 and ten ^H6235 thousand ^H505 in width ^H7341 shall be for the Levites ^H3881, the ministers ^H8334 of the house ^H1004, and for their possession ^H272 [fn]cities in which to live.

6 “And you shall give ^H5414 the city ^H5892 possession ^H272 of an area five ^H2568 thousand ^H505 cubits wide ^H7341 and twenty-five ^H2568 H6242 thousand ^H505 cubits long ^H753, alongside ^H5980 the [fn]allotment ^H8641 of the holy ^H6944 portion ^H6944; it shall be for the entire ^H3605 house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478.

Portion for the Prince

7 “And the prince ^H5387 shall have land on either ^H2088 side ^H2088 of the holy ^H6944 [fn]allotment ^H8641 and the [fn]property ^H272 of the city ^H5892, adjacent ^H413 H6440 to the holy ^H6944 [fn]allotment ^H8641 and the [fn]property ^H272 of the city ^H5892, on the west ^H3220 side ^H6285 toward the west ^H3220 and on the east ^H6924 side ^H6285 toward the east ^H6921, and in length ^H753 comparable ^H5980 to one ^H259 of the portions ^H2506, from the west ^H3220 border ^H1366 to the east ^H6921 border ^H1366.

8 This shall be his land ^H776 as a possession ^H272 in Israel ^H3478; so My princes ^H5387 shall no ^H3808 longer ^H5750 oppress ^H3238 My people ^H5971, but they shall give ^H5414 the rest of the land ^H776 to the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478 according to their tribes ^H7626.”

9 ‘This ^H3541 is ^H3541 what ^H3541 the Lord ^H136 [fn]GOD ^H3068 says ^H559: “Enough ^H7227, you princes ^H5387 of Israel ^H3478; get ^H5493 rid ^H5493 of violence ^H2555 and destruction ^H7701, and practice ^H6213 justice ^H4941 and righteousness ^H6666. Revoke ^H7311 your evictions ^H1646 of My people ^H5971,” declares ^H5002 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068.

10 “You shall have ^H1961 accurate ^H6664 balances ^H3976, an accurate ^H6664 [fn]ephah ^H374, and an accurate ^H6664 [fn]bath ^H1324. 11 The ephah ^H374 and the bath ^H1324 shall be [fn]the same ^H259 quantity ^H8506, so that the bath ^H1324 will contain ^H5375 a tenth ^H4643 of a homer ^H2563, and the ephah ^H374 a tenth ^H6224 of a [fn]homer ^H2563; [fn]their standard ^H4971 shall be according ^H413 to ^H413 the homer ^H2563. 12 And the shekel ^H8255 shall be twenty ^H6242 gerahs ^H1626; twenty ^H6242 shekels ^H8255, twenty-five ^H6242 H2568 shekels ^H8255, and fifteen ^H2568 H6235 shekels ^H8255 shall be your mina ^H4488.

13 “This ^H2088 is the offering ^H8641 that you shall offer ^H7311: a sixth ^H8345 of an ephah ^H374 from each homer ^H2563 of wheat ^H2406; a sixth ^H8341 of an ephah ^H374 from each homer ^H2563 of barley ^H8184; 14 and the prescribed ^H2706 portion ^H2706 of oil ^H8081 (namely, the bath ^H1324 of oil ^H8081), a tenth ^H4643 of a bath ^H1324 from each kor ^H3734 (which is ten ^H6235 baths ^H1324 or a homer ^H2563, for ten ^H6235 baths ^H1324 are a homer ^H2563); 15 and one ^H259 sheep ^H7716 from each flock ^H6629 of two hundred ^H3967 from the watering ^H4945 places ^H4945 of Israel ^H3478—for a grain offering ^H4503, for a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, and for peace ^H8002 offerings ^H8002, to make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 for them,” declares ^H5002 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068. 16 “All ^H3605 the people ^H5971 of the land ^H776 shall [fn]give ^H1961 to this ^H2088 offering ^H8641 for the prince ^H5387 in Israel ^H3478. 17 And it shall be the prince’s ^H5387 part ^H5921 to provide the burnt ^H5930 offerings ^H5930, the grain offerings ^H4503, and the drink ^H5262 offerings ^H5262, at the feasts ^H2282, on the new ^H2320 moons ^H2320, and on the Sabbaths ^H7676, at all ^H3605 the appointed ^H4150 feasts ^H4150 of the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478; he shall provide ^H6213 the sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403, the grain offering ^H4503, the burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, and the peace ^H8002 offerings ^H8002, to make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 for the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478.”

18 ‘This ^H3541 is ^H3541 what ^H3541 the Lord ^H136 GOD ^H3068 says ^H559: “In the first ^H7223 month, on the first ^H259 of the month ^H2320, you shall take ^H3947 a [fn]bull ^{H6499 H1121 H1241} without ^H8549 blemish ^H8549 and cleanse ^H2398 the sanctuary ^H4720 from ^H2398 sin ^H2398. 19 And the priest ^H3548 shall take ^H3947 some ^H4480 of the blood ^H1818 from the sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403 and put ^H5414 it on the door ^H4201 posts ^H4201 of the house ^H1004, on the four ^H702 corners ^H6438 of the ledge ^H5835 of the altar ^H4196, and on the posts ^H4201 of the gate ^H8179 of the inner ^H6442 courtyard ^H2691. 20 And you shall do ^H6213 this ^H3651 on the seventh ^H7651 day of the month ^H2320 for everyone ^H376 who does ^H7686 wrong ^H7686 inadvertently ^H7686 or is naive ^H6612; so you shall make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 for the house ^H1004.

21 “In the first ^H7223 month, on the fourteenth ^H702 H6240 day ^H3117 of the month ^H2320, you shall have ^H1961 the Passover ^H6453, a feast ^H2282 of seven ^H7620 days ^H3117; unleavened ^H4682 bread ^H4682 shall be eaten ^H398. 22 On that day ^H3117 the prince ^H5387 shall provide ^H6213 for himself and all ^H3605 the people ^H5971 of the land ^H776 a bull ^H6499 as a sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403. 23 And during the seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 of the feast ^H2282 he shall provide ^H6213 as a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 to the LORD ^H3068 seven ^H7651 bulls ^H6499 and seven ^H7651 rams ^H352 without ^H8549 blemish ^H8549 on every ^H3117 day ^H3117 of the seven ^H7651 days ^H3117, and a male ^H8163 goat ^H5795 daily ^H3117 as a sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403. 24 And he shall provide ^H6213 as a grain offering ^H4503 an [fn]ephah ^H374 [fn]with a bull ^H6499, an [fn]ephah ^H374 [fn]with a ram ^H352, and a [fn]hin ^H1969 of oil ^H8081 [fn]with an ephah ^H374. 25 In the seventh ^H7637 month, on the fifteenth ^H2568 H6240 day ^H3117 of the month ^H2320, at the feast ^H2282, he shall provide ^H6213 like these ^H428, seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 [fn]for the sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403, the burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, the grain offering ^H4503, and the oil ^H8081.”
