The People’s Apostasy Rebuked
1 Hear H8085 this H2088, you priests H3548!
Pay H7181 attention H7181, house H1004 of Israel H3478!
Listen H238, you of the house H1004 of the king H4428!
For the judgment H4941 applies to you,
Because H3588 you have been H1961 a trap H6341 at Mizpah H4709,
And a net H7568 spread H6566 out H6566 on Tabor H8396.
2 And the rebels H7846 have gone H6009 deep H6009 in [fn]depravity H7819,
But I will discipline H4148 all H3605 of them.
3 I know H3045 Ephraim H669, and Israel H3478 is not hidden H3582 from Me;
Because H3588 now H6258, Ephraim H669, you have been H2181 unfaithful H2181,
Israel H3478 has defiled H2930 itself.
4 Their deeds H4611 will not allow H5414 them
To return H7725 to their God H430.
For a spirit H7307 of [fn]infidelity H2183 is within H7130 them,

5 Moreover, the pride H1347 of Israel H3478 testifies H6030 against H6440 him,

Among the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 I make H3045 known H3045 what is trustworthy H539.
10 The leaders H8269 of Judah H3063 have become H1961 like those who displace H5472 a boundary H1366 marker H1366;

14 For I will be like a lion H7826 to Ephraim H669
