وَقَالَ: «يَا هَاجَرُ جَارِيَةَ سَارَايَ، مِنْ أَيْنَ أَتَيْتِ؟ وَإِلَى أَيْنَ تَذْهَبِينَ؟». فَقَالَتْ: «أَنَا هَارِبَةٌ مِنْ وَجْهِ مَوْلاَتِي سَارَايَ».
