فَذَهَبَتَا كِلْتَاهُمَا حَتَّى دَخَلَتَا بَيْتَ لَحْمٍ. وَكَانَ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِمَا بَيْتَ لَحْمٍ أَنَّ الْمَدِينَةَ كُلَّهَا تَحَرَّكَتْ بِسَبَبِهِمَا، وَقَالُوا: «أَهذِهِ نُعْمِي؟»

وَتَابَعَتَا سَيْرَهُمَا حَتَّى دَخَلَتَا بَيْتَ لَحْمٍ، وَمَا إِنْ بَلَغَتَا الْمَدِينَةَ حَتَّى أَثَارَ رُجُوعُهُمَا أَهْلَهَا وَتَسَاءَلُوا: «أَهَذِهِ هِيَ نُعْمِي؟»
