فَقَالَ دَاوُدُ لِيُونَاثَانَ: «هُوَذَا الشَّهْرُ غَدًا حِينَمَا أَجْلِسُ مَعَ الْمَلِكِ لِلأَكْلِ. وَلكِنْ أَرْسِلْنِي فَأَخْتَبِئَ فِي الْحَقْلِ إِلَى مَسَاءِ الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ.

فَقَالَ دَاوُدُ لِيُونَاثَانَ: «غَداً هُوَ الاحْتِفَالُ بِأَوَّلِ أَيَّامِ الشَّهْرِ، حَيْثُ مِنْ عَادَتِي أَنْ أَجْلِسَ مَعَ الْمَلِكِ حَوْلَ مَائِدَةِ الأَكْلِ وَلَكِنْ دَعْنِي أَذْهَبُ فَأَخْتَبِئَ فِي الْحَقْلِ إِلَى مَسَاءِ الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ.
