And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.

And to Abiathar the priest the king said, “Go to Anathoth, to your own fields, for you are deserving of death; but I will not put you to death at this time, because you carried the ark of the Lord GOD before my father David, and because you were afflicted every time my father was afflicted.”

Then the king said to Abiathar the priest, “Go back to your home in Anathoth. You deserve to die, but I will not kill you now, because you carried the Ark of the Sovereign LORD for David my father and you shared all his hardships.”

To Abiathar the priest the king said, “Go back to your fields in Anathoth. You deserve to die, but I will not put you to death now, because you carried the ark of the Sovereign LORD before my father David and shared all my father’s hardships.”

And to Abiathar the priest the king said, “Go to Anathoth, to your estate, for you deserve death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you carried the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because you shared in all my father’s affliction.”

The king said to the priest Abiathar, “Go to your fields in Anathoth. Even though you deserve to die, I will not put you to death today, since you carried the ark of the Lord GOD in the presence of my father David and you suffered through all that my father suffered.”

Then to Abiathar the priest the king said, “Go to Anathoth to your own field, for you [fn]deserve to die; but I will not put you to death at this [fn]time, because you carried the ark of the Lord [fn]GOD before my father David, and because you were afflicted in everything with which my father was afflicted.”

Then the king said to Abiathar the priest, “Go to Anathoth to your own fields, for you [fn]certainly deserve to die; but I will not put you to death this day, because you carried the ark of the Lord GOD before my father David, and you suffered everything that my father endured.”

The king then told Abiathar the priest, "Go back to your property in Anathoth. You deserve to die, but today I will not kill you because you did carry the ark of the sovereign LORD before my father David and you suffered with my father through all his difficult times."

And to Abi'athar the priest the king said, "Go to An'athoth, to your estate; for you deserve death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you bore the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because you shared in all the affliction of my father."

And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord Jehovah before David my father, and because thou wast afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.

And to Abiathar the priest said the king, 'To Anathoth go, unto thy fields; for a man of death thou art, but in this day I do not put thee to death, because thou hast borne the ark of the Lord Jehovah before David my father, and because thou wast afflicted in all that my father was afflicted in.'

And the king said to Abiathar the priest, Go to Anathoth, to thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death; but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou didst bear the ark of Adonai Jehovah before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.

וּלְאֶבְיָתָר הַכֹּהֵן אָמַר הַמֶּלֶךְ עֲנָתֹת לֵךְ עַל־שָׂדֶיךָ כִּי אִישׁ מָוֶת אָתָּה וּבַיֹּום הַזֶּה לֹא אֲמִיתֶךָ כִּי־נָשָׂאתָ אֶת־אֲרֹון אֲדֹנָי יְהֹוִה לִפְנֵי דָּוִד אָבִי וְכִי הִתְעַנִּיתָ בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־הִתְעַנָּה אָבִי׃

وَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ لأَبِيَاثَارَ الْكَاهِنِ: «اذْهَبْ إِلَى عَنَاثُوثَ إِلَى حُقُولِكَ، لأَنَّكَ مُسْتَوْجِبُ الْمَوْتِ، وَلَسْتُ أَقْتُلُكَ فِي هذَا الْيَوْمِ، لأَنَّكَ حَمَلْتَ تَابُوتَ سَيِّدِي الرَّبِّ أَمَامَ دَاوُدَ أَبِي، وَلأَنَّكَ تَذَلَّلْتَ بِكُلِّ مَا تَذَلَّلَ بِهِ أَبِي».

وَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ لأَبِيَاثَارَ الْكَاهِنِ: «انْطَلِقْ إِلَى حُقُولِكَ فِي عَنَاثُوثَ وَامْكُثْ هُنَاكَ، فَأَنْتَ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَوْجِبٌ المَوْتَ، وَلَكِنَّنِي لَنْ أَقْتُلَكَ، لأَنَّكَ حَمَلْتَ تَابُوتَ سَيِّدِي الرَّبِّ أَمَامَ دَاوُدَ أَبِي وَلأَنَّكَ قَاسَيْتَ مِنْ كُلِّ مَا قَاسَى مِنْهُ أَيْضاً».

And the king said to Abiathar the priest, Depart thou quickly to Anathoth to thy farm, for thou art [fn]worthy of death this day; but I will not slay thee, because thou hast borne the ark of the covenant of the Lord before my father, and because thou wast afflicted in all things wherein my father was afflicted.

Y á Abiathar sacerdote dijo el rey: Vete á Anathoth á tus heredades, que tú eres digno de muerte; mas no te mataré hoy, por cuanto has llevado el arca del Señor Jehová delante de David mi padre, y además has sido trabajado en todas las cosas en que fué trabajado mi padre.

Y el rey dijo al sacerdote Abiatar: Vete a Anatot, a tus heredades, pues eres digno de muerte; pero no te mataré hoy, por cuanto has llevado el arca de Jehová el Señor delante de David mi padre, y además has sido afligido en todas las cosas en que fue afligido mi padre.
