But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

וַתֵּשֶׁב בְּאֵיתָן קַשְׁתֹּו וַיָּפֹזּוּ זְרֹעֵי יָדָיו מִידֵי אֲבִיר יַעֲקֹב מִשָּׁם רֹעֶה אֶבֶן יִשְׂרָאֵל׃

καὶ συνετρίβη μετὰ κράτους τὰ τόξα αὐτῶν καὶ ἐξελύθη τὰ νεῦρα βραχιόνων χειρῶν αὐτῶν διὰ χεῖρα δυνάστου Ιακωβ ἐκεῖθεν κατισχύσας Ισραηλ

وَلكِنْ ثَبَتَتْ بِمَتَانَةٍ قَوْسُهُ، وَتَشَدَّدَتْ سَوَاعِدُ يَدَيْهِ. مِنْ يَدَيْ عَزِيزِ يَعْقُوبَ، مِنْ هُنَاكَ، مِنَ الرَّاعِي صَخْرِ إِسْرَائِيلَ،

وَلَكِنْ قَوْسُهُ ظَلَّتْ مَتِينَةً، وَتَشَدَّدَتْ سَوَاعِدُ يَدَيْهِ بِفَضْلِ سَوَاعِدِ عَزِيزِ يَعْقُوبَ، الرَّاعِي صَخْرِ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

But their bow and arrows were mightily consumed, and the sinews of their arms were slackened by the hand of the mighty one of Jacob; thence is he that strengthened Israel from the God of thy father;
