While He was saying G2980 these G3778 things G3778 to them, behold G2400, [fn]a synagogue [fn]official G758 came G4334 and [fn]bowed G4352 down G4352 before G4352 Him, and said G3004, “My daughter G2364 has just G737 died G5053; but come G2064 and lay G2007 Your hand G5495 on her, and she will become G2198 alive G2198 again G2198.”
While He was saying G2980 these G3778 things G3778 to them, behold G2400, [fn]a synagogue [fn]official G758 came G4334 and [fn]was bowing G4352 down G4352 before G4352 Him, and said G3004, “My daughter G2364 has just G737 died G5053; but come G2064 and lay G2007 Your hand G5495 on her, and she will live G2198.”
While He was saying these things to them, a ruler (synagogue official) entered [the house] and kneeled down and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just now died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.”
وَفِيمَا هُوَ يُكَلِّمُهُمْ بِهذَا، إِذَا رَئِيسٌ قَدْ جَاءَ فَسَجَدَ لَهُ قَائِلاً:«إِنَّ ابْنَتِي الآنَ مَاتَتْ، لكِنْ تَعَالَ وَضَعْ يَدَكَ عَلَيْهَا فَتَحْيَا».
The Textus Receptus (latin, "Received Text") is the Greek text originally compiled by Erasmus around 1516. Though the earliest work was prepared by Desiderius Erasmus, his work was later revised by Robert Estienne (or, Stephanus) and further revised by Theodore Beza. The text produced by each is substantially the same, aside from some minor variations. The Blue Letter Bible utilizes Stephanus' edition from 1550.
