“The LORD drove out before us all the peoples, including the Amorites who lived in the land. We too will worship the LORD, because he is our God.”
وَطَرَدَ الرَّبُّ مِنْ أَمَامِنَا جَمِيعَ الشُّعُوبِ، وَالأَمُورِيِّينَ السَّاكِنِينَ الأَرْضَ. فَنَحْنُ أَيْضًا نَعْبُدُ الرَّبَّ لأَنَّهُ هُوَ إِلهُنَا».
The Latin Vulgate was translated from the original languages into Latin by Jerome in A.D. 405. For over a millennium, it remained as the preferred translation of the church. This version of the Bible is in the public domain.
