فَكَشَفَ لَهَا كُلَّ قَلْبِهِ، وَقَالَ لَهَا: «لَمْ يَعْلُ مُوسَى رَأْسِي لأَنِّي نَذِيرُ اللهِ مِنْ بَطْنِ أُمِّي، فَإِنْ حُلِقْتُ تُفَارِقُنِي قُوَّتِي وَأَضْعُفُ وَأَصِيرُ كَأَحَدِ النَّاسِ».

فَكَشَفَ لَهَا عَنْ مَكْنُونِ قَلْبِهِ، وَقَالَ لَهَا: «إِنَّنِي نَذِيرُ الرَّبِّ مُنْذُ مَوْلِدِي، لِهَذَا لَمْ أَحْلِقْ شَعْرِي. وَإِنْ حَلَقْتُهُ فَإِنَّ قُوَّتِي تُفَارِقُنِي وَأُصْبِحُ ضَعِيفاً كَأَيِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ».
