耶和华继续说： “你曾知道大地的广阔吗？如果你知道这一切，就告诉我。” （第18节）上帝问约伯是否走遍了整个地球，是否了解它的疆界。在古代，人类的迁徙能力远不及今日。然而，尽管现代人可以旅行，可以测量地球的疆界，但我们大大增长的认知仍然凸显出我们对未知领域的了解是多么有限。
