Keith Essex

Dr. Keith Essex is Professor Emeritus at The Master’s Seminary and teaches several Bible Exposition courses in the Master of Theology program. During his residency for his Master of Theology degree, Dr. Essex ministered with Campus Crusade and later as a student pastor in Dallas, Texas. Following graduation, he served as Academic Dean at Grace Bible Institute in Long Beach, California. During this time, Dr. Essex was also involved as a church planter, interim pastor, and later as an associate pastor in Redondo Beach, California. He came to The Master's Seminary as an adjunct professor in 1992, joining full-time faculty in 1994. On occasion, Dr. Essex also teaches in the Master of Divinity program.

Resources include detailed course notes from Dr. Keith Essex’s Old and New Testament Studies courses taught at The Master’s Seminary. The notes are provided in outline format and contain literary, background, thematic, and other information critical to understanding each book of the Bible. This outline serves as a companion to the lecture videos, which are provided for free from The Master’s Seminary, and are linked to each related study page.
