‘They have made H7065 Me jealous H7065 with what is not God H410;
They have provoked H3707 Me to H3707 anger H3707 with their [fn]idols H1892.
So I will make H7065 them jealous H7065 with those who are not a people H5971;
I will provoke H3707 them to H3707 anger H3707 with a wickedly H5036 foolish H5036 nation H1471,

And has not forsaken H5800 the judgment H4941 of their God H430.
They ask H7592 Me for righteous H6664 judgments H4941;

God [fn]says H559, “If H2005 a husband H376 divorces H7971 his wife H802
And she goes H1980 from him
And belongs H1961 to another H312 man H376,
Will he still H5750 return H7725 to her?
Will not that land H776 be completely H2610 [fn]polluted H2610?
But you are a harlot H2181 with many H7227 [fn]lovers H7453;
Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to me in the days H3117 of Josiah H2977 the king H4428, “Have you seen H7200 what H834 faithless H4878 Israel H3478 did H6213? She went H1980 up on every H3605 high H1364 hill H2022 and under H8478 every H3605 green H7488 tree H6086, and she was a harlot H2181 there H8033.
‘[fn]Return H7725, faithless H4878 Israel H3478,' declares H5002 Yahweh H3068;
‘I will not [fn]look H5307 upon you in H5307 anger H5307.
For I am One H2623 of H2623 lovingkindness H2623,' declares H5002 Yahweh H3068;
Behold H2009, the sound H6963! The cry H7775 of the daughter H1323 of my people H5971 from a distant H4801 land H776:
“Is Yahweh H3068 not in Zion H6726? Is her King H4428 not within her?”
“Why H4069 have they provoked H3707 Me to anger H3707 with their graven H6456 images H6456, with foreign H5236 [fn]idols H1892?”
Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635, who planted H5193 you, has spoken H1696 forth evil H7451 against H5921 you because H1558 of the evil H7451 of the house H1004 of Israel H3478 and of the house H1004 of Judah H3063, which H834 they have [fn]done H6213 to provoke H3707 Me to anger H3707 by burning H6999 incense H6999 to Baal H1168.
‘And [fn]their mighty H117 one shall be one of them,
And [fn]their ruler H4910 shall come H3318 forth H3318 from [fn]their midst H7130;
And I will bring H7126 Him near H7126, and He shall approach H5066 Me;
For who H4310 would dare to give H6148 his heart H3820 as H6148 security H6148 to approach H5066 Me?' declares H5002 Yahweh H3068.

“Is it nothing H3808 to all H3605 you who pass H5674 this way H1870?
Look H5027 and see H7200 if H518 there H3426 is H3426 any H3426 [fn]pain H4341 like my [fn]pain H4341
Which H834 was dealt H5953 severely H5953 to me,
Which H834 Yahweh H3068 grieved H3013 me with on the day H3117 of His burning H2740 anger H639.
Then He said H559 to me, “Son H1121 of man H120, raise H5375 your eyes H5869 now H4994 toward H1870 the north H6828.” So I raised H5375 my eyes H5869 toward H1870 the north H6828, and behold H2009, to the north H6828 of the altar H4196 gate H8179 was this H2088 figure H5566 of jealousy H7068 at the entrance H872.

And behold H2009, at the entrance H6607 to the temple H1964 of Yahweh H3068, between H996 the porch H197 and the altar H4196, were about twenty-five H6242 H2568 men H376 with their backs H268 to the temple H1964 of Yahweh H3068 and their faces H6440 toward the east H6924; and they were [fn]prostrating H2331 themselves eastward H6924 toward the sun H8121.
Then He said H559 to me, “The iniquity H5771 of the house H1004 of Israel H3478 and Judah H3063 is very H3966, very H3966 great H1419, and the land H776 is filled H4390 with bloodshed H1818, and the city H5892 is full H4390 of perversion H4297; for they say H559, ‘Yahweh H3068 has forsaken H5800 the land H776, and Yahweh H3068 does not see H7200!'
Moreover, the Spirit H7307 lifted H5375 me up H5375 and brought H935 me to the east H6931 gate H8179 of the house H1004 of Yahweh H3068 which faced H6437 eastward H6931. And behold H2009, at the entrance H6607 of the gate H8179, there were twenty-five H6242 H2568 men H376, and I saw H7200 among H8432 them Jaazaniah H2970 son H1121 of Azzur H5809 and Pelatiah H6410 son H1121 of Benaiah H1141, officials H8269 of the people H5971.
Now it happened H1961 as I prophesied H5012, that Pelatiah H6410 son H1121 of Benaiah H1141 died H4191. Then I fell H5307 on my face H6440 and cried H2199 out H2199 with a loud H1419 voice H6963 and said H559, “Alas H162, Lord H136 Yahweh H3068! Will You bring H6213 the remnant H7611 of Israel H3478 to complete H3617 destruction H3617?”
In the twenty-fifth H6242 H2568 year H8141 of our exile H1546, at the beginning H7218 of the year H8141, on the tenth H6218 of the month H2320, in the fourteenth H702 H6240 year H8141 after H310 the city H5892 was struck H5221 down H5221, on that same H6106 day H3117 the hand H3027 of Yahweh H3068 was upon me, and He brought H935 me there H8033.
From the outside H2351 to the inner H6442 gate H8179 were [fn]chambers H3957 for the singers H7891 in the inner H6442 court H2691, one of which H834 was at the [fn]side H3802 of the north H6828 gate H8179, with [fn]its front H6440 toward H1870 the south H1864, and one H259 at the [fn]side H3802 of the [fn]south gate H8179 facing H6440 toward H1870 the north H6828.
Then he said H559 to me, “The north H6828 chambers H3957 and the south H1864 chambers H3957, which H834 are opposite H413 H6440 the separate H1508 area H1508, they are the holy H6944 chambers H3957 where H834 H8033 the priests H3548 who H834 are near H7138 to Yahweh H3068 shall eat H398 the most H6944 holy H6944 things H6944. There H8033 they shall lay H5117 the most H6944 holy H6944 things H6944, the grain offering H4503, the sin H2403 offering H2403, and the guilt H817 offering H817; for the place H4725 is holy H6918.
“But the Levitical H3881 priests H3548, the sons H1121 of Zadok H6659, who H834 kept H8104 the responsibility H4931 of My sanctuary H4720 when the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 went H8582 astray H8582 from Me, shall come H7126 near H7126 to Me to minister H8334 to Me; and they shall stand H5975 before H6440 Me to bring H7126 near H7126 to Me the fat H2459 and the blood H1818,” declares H5002 Lord H136 Yahweh H3068.
Then he brought H7725 me back H7725 to the door H6607 of the house H1004; and behold H2009, water H4325 was flowing H3318 from under H8478 the threshold H4670 of the house H1004 toward the east H6921, for the house H1004 faced H6440 east H6921. And the water H4325 was flowing H3381 down H3381 from under H8478, from the right H3233 side H3802 of the house H1004, from south H5045 of the altar H4196.
Therefore H6903 H1836, Daniel H1841 went H5954 in H5954 to Arioch H746, whom H1768 the king H4430 had appointed H4483 to destroy H7 the wise H2445 men H2445 of Babylon H895; he went H236 and said H560 thus H3652 to him: “Do not destroy H7 the wise H2445 men H2445 of Babylon H895! “At that time H2166 my knowledge H4486 returned H8421 to me. Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to me, “Go H1980 again H5750, love H157 a [fn]woman H802 who is loved H157 by her companion H7453 and is an adulteress H5003, even as Yahweh H3068 loves H157 the sons H1121 of Israel H3478, though they turn H6437 to other H312 gods H430 and love H157 raisin H809 H6025 cakes H809.”
“I sent H7971 a pestilence H1698 among you after the manner H1870 of Egypt H4714;
I killed H2026 your choice H970 men H970 by the sword H2719 along H5973 with H5973 your captured H7628 horses H5483,
And I made the stench H889 of your camp H4264 rise H5927 up H5927 even in your nostrils H639;
Yet you have not returned H7725 to Me,” declares H5002 Yahweh H3068.
“Therefore H3651 wait H2442 for Me,” declares H5002 Yahweh H3068,
“For the day H3117 when I rise H6965 up H6965 as a witness H5707.
Indeed H3588, My judgment H4941 is to assemble H622 nations H1471,
To gather H6908 kingdoms H4467,
To pour H8210 out H8210 on them My indignation H2195,
All H3605 My burning H2740 anger H639;
“And I will pour H8210 out H8210 on the house H1004 of David H1732 and on the inhabitants H3427 of Jerusalem H3389 [fn]the Spirit H7307 of grace H2580 and of supplication H8469, so that they will look H5027 on Me whom H834 they have pierced H1856; and they will mourn H5594 for Him, as one mourns H5594 for an only H3173 son H3173, and they will weep H4843 bitterly H4843 over H5921 Him like the bitter H4843 weeping H4843 over H5921 a firstborn H1060.
“Then I will draw H7126 near H7126 to you for judgment H4941; and I will be a swift H4116 witness H5707 against the sorcerers H3784 and against the adulterers H5003 and against those who swear H7650 falsely H8267 and against those who oppress H6231 the wage H7916 earner H7916 in his wages H7939, the widow H490 and the [fn]orphan H3490, and those who turn H5186 aside H5186 the sojourner H1616 and do not [fn]fear H3372 Me,” says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635.
