Then Moses ^H4872 summoned ^H7121 all ^H3605 Israel ^H3478 and said ^H559 to them:

“Hear ^H8085, O Israel ^H3478, the statutes ^H2706 and the judgments ^H4941 which ^H834 I am speaking ^H1696 today ^H3117 in your [fn]hearing ^H241, that you may learn ^H3925 them and be ^H8104 careful ^H8104 to do ^H6213 them.

‘I am Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 who ^H834 brought ^H3318 you out ^H3318 of the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714, out of the house ^H1004 of [fn]slavery ^H5650.

‘You shall have ^H1961 no ^H3808 other ^H312 gods ^H430 [fn]before ^H6440 Me.

‘You shall not make ^H6213 for yourself [fn]an idol ^H6459—any ^H3605 likeness ^H8544 of what ^H834 is in heaven ^H8064 above ^H4480 H4605 [fn]or on the earth ^H776 beneath ^H4480 H8478 [fn]or in the water ^H4325 under ^H8478 the earth ^H776.

‘You shall not worship ^H2331 them or serve ^H5647 them; for I, Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430, am a jealous ^H7067 God ^H410, visiting ^H6485 the iniquity ^H5771 of the fathers ^H1 on the children ^H1121 and on the third ^H8029 and the fourth ^H7256 generations of those who hate ^H8130 Me,

but showing ^H6213 lovingkindness ^H2617 to thousands ^H505, to those who love ^H157 Me and keep ^H8104 My commandments ^H4687.

‘You shall not take ^H5375 the name ^H8034 of Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 in vain ^H7723, for Yahweh ^H3068 will not [fn]leave ^H5352 him unpunished ^H5352 who ^H834 takes ^H5375 His name ^H8034 in vain ^H7723.

‘Observe ^H8104 the sabbath ^H7676 day ^H3117 to keep ^H6942 it holy ^H6942, as Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 commanded ^H6680 you.

‘Six ^H8337 days ^H3117 you shall labor ^H5647 and do ^H6213 all ^H3605 your work ^H4399,

but the seventh ^H7637 day ^H3117 is a sabbath ^H7676 of Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430; in it you shall not do ^H6213 any ^H3605 work ^H4399, you or your son ^H1121 or your daughter ^H1323 or your male ^H5650 slave ^H5650 or your female ^H519 slave ^H519 or your ox ^H7794 or your donkey ^H2543 or any ^H3605 of your cattle ^H929 or your sojourner ^H1616 who ^H834 is within your gates ^H8179, so ^H4616 that your male ^H5650 slave ^H5650 and your female ^H519 slave ^H519 may rest ^H5117 as well as you.

‘You shall remember ^H2142 that you were a slave ^H5650 in the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714, and Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 brought ^H3318 you out ^H3318 of there ^H8033 with a mighty ^H2389 hand ^H3027 and with an outstretched ^H5186 arm ^H2220; therefore ^H5921 H3651 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 commanded ^H6680 you to observe ^H6213 the sabbath ^H7676 day ^H3117.

‘Honor ^H3513 your father ^H1 and your mother ^H517, as Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 has commanded ^H6680 you, that your days ^H3117 may be prolonged ^H748 and that it may go ^H3190 well ^H3190 with you on the land ^H127 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 gives ^H5414 you.

‘You shall not murder ^H7523.

‘You shall not commit ^H5003 adultery ^H5003.

‘You shall not steal ^H1589.

‘You shall not bear ^H6030 false ^H7723 witness ^H5707 against your neighbor ^H7453.

‘You shall not covet ^H2530 your neighbor’s ^H7453 wife ^H802, and you shall not desire ^H183 your neighbor’s ^H7453 house ^H1004, his field ^H7704, or his male ^H5650 slave ^H5650 or his female ^H519 slave ^H519, his ox ^H7794 or his donkey ^H2543 or anything ^H3605 that belongs to your neighbor ^H7453.’

“These ^H428 words ^H1697 Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to all ^H3605 your assembly ^H6951 at the mountain ^H2022 from the midst ^H8432 of the fire ^H784, of the cloud ^H6051 and of the dense ^H6205 gloom ^H6205, with a great ^H1419 voice ^H6963, and He added ^H3254 no ^H3808 more ^H3254. He wrote ^H3789 them on two ^H8147 tablets ^H3871 of stone ^H68 and gave ^H5414 them to me.

“And Yahweh ^H3068 heard ^H8085 the voice ^H6963 of your words ^H1697 when you spoke ^H1696 to me, and Yahweh ^H3068 said ^H559 to me, ‘I have heard ^H8085 the voice ^H6963 of the words ^H1697 of this ^H2088 people ^H5971 which ^H834 they have spoken ^H1696 to you. They have done ^H3190 well ^H3190 in all ^H3605 that they have spoken ^H1696.
