The word ^H1697 that came ^H1961 to Jeremiah ^H3414 concerning ^H5921 all ^H3605 the people ^H5971 of Judah ^H3063 in the fourth ^H7243 year ^H8141 of Jehoiakim ^H3079 the son ^H1121 of Josiah ^H2977, king ^H4428 of Judah ^H3063 (that was the first ^H7224 year ^H8141 of Nebuchadnezzar ^H5019 king ^H4428 of Babylon ^H894),

“Therefore ^H3651 thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068 of hosts ^H6635, ‘Because ^H3282 H834 you have not listened ^H8085 to My words ^H1697,

‘Then it will be when seventy ^H7657 years ^H8141 are fulfilled ^H4390, that I will punish ^H6485 the king ^H4428 of Babylon ^H894 and that nation ^H1471,’ declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068, ‘for their iniquity ^H5771, even the land ^H776 of the Chaldeans ^H3778; and I will make ^H7760 it an everlasting ^H5769 desolation ^H8077.

For thus ^H3541 Yahweh ^H3068, the God ^H430 of Israel ^H3478, says ^H559 to me, “Take ^H3947 this ^H2088 cup ^H3563 of the wine ^H3196 of wrath ^H2534 from My hand ^H3027 and cause ^H8248 all ^H3605 the nations ^H1471 to whom ^H834 I send ^H7971 you to ^H8248 drink ^H8248 it.

Then I took ^H3947 the cup ^H3563 from the hand ^H3027 of Yahweh ^H3068 and made ^H8248 all ^H3605 the nations ^H1471 to whom ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 sent ^H7971 me drink ^H8248 it:

“You shall say ^H559 to them, ‘Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068 of hosts ^H6635, the God ^H430 of Israel ^H3478, “Drink ^H8354, be ^H7937 drunk ^H7937, vomit ^H7006, fall ^H5307, and rise ^H6965 no ^H3808 more because ^H4480 H6440 of the sword ^H2719 which ^H834 I will send ^H7971 among ^H996 you.”’

“Therefore you shall prophesy ^H5012 against ^H413 them all ^H3605 these ^H428 words ^H1697, and you shall say ^H559 to them,

‘Yahweh ^H3068 will roar ^H7580 from on high ^H4791

And give ^H5414 forth His voice ^H6963 from His holy ^H6944 habitation ^H4583;

He will roar ^H7580 mightily ^H7580 against ^H5921 His [fn]pasture ^H5116.

He will bellow ^H6030 a shout ^H1959 like those who tread ^H1869 the grapes,

Against ^H413 all ^H3605 the inhabitants ^H3427 of the earth ^H776.

‘A rumbling ^H7588 has come ^H935 to the end ^H7097 of the earth ^H776

Because ^H3588 Yahweh ^H3068 has a contention ^H7379 against the nations ^H1471.

He is entering ^H8199 into ^H8199 judgment ^H8199 with all ^H3605 flesh ^H1320;

As for the wicked ^H7563, He has given ^H5414 them to the sword ^H2719,’ declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068.”

Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068 of hosts ^H6635,

“Behold ^H2009, evil ^H7451 is going ^H3318 forth ^H3318

From nation ^H1471 to nation ^H1471,

And a great ^H1419 storm ^H5591 is being stirred ^H5782 up ^H5782

From the remotest ^H3411 parts ^H3411 of the earth ^H776.

“Those slain ^H2491 by Yahweh ^H3068 on that day ^H3117 will be from one end ^H7097 of the earth ^H776 to the [fn]other ^H7097 H776. They will not be lamented ^H5594, gathered ^H622, or buried ^H6912; they will be like dung ^H1828 on the face ^H6440 of the ground ^H127.

“Wail ^H3213, you shepherds ^H7462, and cry ^H2199 out ^H2199;

And roll ^H6428 yourselves in ashes, you masters ^H117 of the flock ^H6629;

For the days ^H3117 of your slaughter ^H2873 and your scatterings ^H8600 are being fulfilled ^H4390,

And you will fall ^H5307 like a desirable ^H2532 vessel ^H3627.

“Refuge ^H4498 will perish ^H6 from the shepherds ^H7462

And escape ^H6413 from the mighty ^H117 ones of the flock ^H6629.

“Hear the sound ^H6963 of the cry ^H6818 of the shepherds ^H7462,

And the wailing ^H3215 of the mighty ^H117 ones of the flock ^H6629!

For Yahweh ^H3068 is destroying ^H7703 their pasture ^H4830,

And the peaceful ^H7965 pastures ^H5116 are ^H1826 made ^H1826 silent ^H1826

Because ^H4480 H6440 of the burning ^H2740 anger ^H639 of Yahweh ^H3068.

“He has forsaken ^H5800 His hiding ^H5520 place ^H5520 like the lion ^H3715;

For their land ^H776 has become ^H1961 an object ^H8047 of horror ^H8047

Because ^H4480 H6440 of the burning ^H2740 desire of [fn]the oppressor ^H3238

And because ^H4480 H6440 of His burning ^H2740 anger ^H639.”
