“Because H3588 you have done H6213 this H2088,

Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to Moses H4872, “One H259 more H5750 plague H5061 I will bring H935 on Pharaoh H6547 and on Egypt H4714; after H310 that he will let H7971 you go H7971 from here H2088. Moreover, from the [fn]blue H8504 and purple H713 and scarlet H8144 material, they made H6213 finely H8278 woven H8278 garments H899 for ministering H8334 in the holy H6944 place [fn]as well as the holy H6944 garments H899 which H834 were for Aaron H175, just H834 as Yahweh H3068 had commanded H6680 Moses H4872.

‘You shall not make H6213 for yourselves [fn]idols H457, nor H3808 shall you set H6965 up H6965 for yourselves a graven H6459 image H6459 or a sacred pillar H4676, nor H3808 shall you [fn]place H5414 a carved H4906 stone H68 in your land H776 to bow H2331 down H2331 [fn]to it; for I am Yahweh H3068 your God H430.
Then Moses H4872 said H559 to Hobab H2246 the son H1121 of Reuel H7467 the Midianite H4084, Moses' H4872 father-in-law H2859, “We are setting H5265 out H5265 to the place H4725 of which H834 Yahweh H3068 said H559, ‘I will give H5414 it to you'; come H1980 with us and we will do H3190 you good H3190, for Yahweh H3068 has [fn]promised H1696 good H2896 concerning H5921 Israel H3478.”
Now the people H5971 became H1961 like those who complain H596 of calamity H7451 in the ears H241 of Yahweh H3068. Yahweh H3068 therefore said H559 to Moses H4872, “Gather H622 for Me seventy H7657 men H376 from the elders H2205 of Israel H3478, whom H834 you know H3045 to be the elders H2205 of the people H5971 and their officers H7860, and take H3947 them to the tent H168 of meeting H4150, and let them take H3320 their stand H3320 there H8033 with you.
So Yahweh H3068 said H559 to Aaron H175, “You and your sons H1121 and your father's H1 household H1004 with you shall bear H5375 the guilt H5771 [fn]in connection with the sanctuary H4720, and you and your sons H1121 with you shall bear H5375 the guilt H5771 [fn]in connection with your priesthood H3550.
Then Yahweh H3068 spoke H1696 to Aaron H175, “Now behold H2009, I Myself H589 have given H5414 you the responsibility H4931 of My [fn]contributions H8641, even all H3605 the holy H6944 gifts of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 I have given H5414 them to you as a portion H4888 and to your sons H1121 as a perpetual H5769 statute H2706.
“Then we set H5265 out H5265 from Horeb H2722 and went H1980 through all H3605 that great H1419 and fearsome H3372 wilderness H4057 which H834 you saw H7200 on the way H1870 to the hill H2022 country H2022 of the Amorites H567, just H834 as Yahweh H3068 our God H430 had commanded H6680 us; and we came H935 to Kadesh-barnea H6947.
“Then you said H559 to me, ‘We have sinned H2398 against Yahweh H3068; we will indeed go H5927 up H5927 and fight H3898, just H3605 H834 as Yahweh H3068 our God H430 commanded H6680 us.' “Do not say H559 in your heart H3824 when Yahweh H3068 your God H430 has driven H1920 them out H1920 before H4480 H6440 you, saying H559, ‘Because of my righteousness H6666 Yahweh H3068 has brought H935 me in H935 to possess H3423 this H2088 land H776,' but it is because of the wickedness H7564 of these H428 nations H1471 that Yahweh H3068 is dispossessing H3423 them before H4480 H6440 you.
“So now H6258, Israel H3478, what H4100 does Yahweh H3068 your God H430 ask H7592 from you, but to [fn]fear H3372 Yahweh H3068 your God H430, to walk H1980 in all H3605 His ways H1870 and love H157 Him, and to serve H5647 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 with all H3605 your heart H3824 and with all H3605 your soul H5315,
“If H3588 there is a needy H34 one H34 among you, one H259 of your brothers H251, in any H259 of your gates H8179 of the towns in your land H776 which H834 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 is giving H5414 you, you shall not harden H553 your heart H3824 nor H3808 close H7092 your hand H3027 from your needy H34 brother H251;
“It shall not seem H7185 hard H7185 in your sight H5869 when you [fn]let H7971 him go H7971 to be free H2670 from you, for he has given H5647 you six H8337 years H8141 with [fn]double H4932 the service H7939 of a hired H7916 man H7916; so Yahweh H3068 your God H430 will bless H1288 you in whatever H3605 H834 you do H6213.
“Three H7969 times H6471 in a year H8141 all H3605 your males H2138 shall appear H7200 before H6440 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 in the place H4725 which H834 He chooses H977, at the Feast H2282 of Unleavened H4682 Bread H4682 and at the Feast H2282 of Weeks H7620 and at the Feast H2282 of Booths H5521, and they shall not appear H7200 before H6440 Yahweh H3068 empty-handed H7387.
“If H3588 there is found H4672 in your midst H7130, in any H259 of your gates H8179 of the towns which H834 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 is giving H5414 you, a man H376 or H176 a woman H802 who H834 does H6213 what H7451 is H7451 evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of Yahweh H3068 your God H430, by trespassing H5674 against His covenant H1285,
“If H3588 any case H1697 is H6381 too H4480 difficult H6381 for you to judge H4941, between H996 [fn]one kind of homicide H1818 or another H1818, between H996 [fn]one kind of lawsuit H1779 or another H1779, and between H996 [fn]one kind of assault H5061 or another H5061, being cases H1697 of dispute H7379 in your gates H8179, then you shall arise H6965 and go H5927 up H5927 to the place H4725 which H834 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 chooses H977.
“If H3588 you go H3318 out H3318 to battle H4421 against H5921 your enemies H340 and see H7200 horses H5483 and chariots H7393 and people H5971 more H7227 numerous H7227 than H4480 you, do not be H3372 afraid H3372 of them; for Yahweh H3068 your God H430, who H834 brought H5927 you up H5927 from the land H776 of Egypt H4714, is with you.
“When H3588 you reap H7114 your harvest H7105 in your field H7704 and have forgotten H7911 a sheaf H6016 in the field H7704, you shall not go H7725 back H7725 to get H3947 it; it shall be for the sojourner H1616, for the [fn]orphan H3490, and for the widow H490, in order H4616 that Yahweh H3068 your God H430 may bless H1288 you in all H3605 the work H4639 of your hands H3027.
“Now it will be, if H518 you diligently H8085 listen H8085 to the voice H6963 of Yahweh H3068 your God H430, being H8104 careful H8104 to do H6213 all H3605 His commandments H4687 which H834 I am commanding H6680 you today H3117, Yahweh H3068 your God H430 will set H5414 you high H5945 above H5921 all H3605 the nations H1471 of the earth H776.
“Yahweh H3068 shall cause H5414 you to be [fn]defeated H5062 before H6440 your enemies H340; you will go H3318 out H3318 one H259 way H1870 against H413 them, but you will flee H5127 seven H7651 ways H1870 before H6440 them, and you will become an example of terror H2113 to all H3605 the kingdoms H4467 of the earth H776.
“And the generation H1755 to come H314, your sons H1121 who H834 rise H6965 up H6965 after H4480 H310 you and the foreigner H5237 who H834 comes H935 from a distant H7350 land H776, shall see H7200 the plagues H4347 of the land H776 and the diseases H8463 with which H834 Yahweh H3068 has [fn]afflicted H2470 it, and they will say H559,
“So it will be, when H3588 all H3605 of these H428 things H1697 have come H935 upon you, the blessing H1293 and the curse H7045 which H834 I have set H5414 before H6440 you, and you cause these things to return H7725 to your heart H3824 in all H3605 the nations H1471 where H834 H8033 Yahweh H3068 your God H430 has banished H5080 you,
Then Moses H4872 called H7121 to Joshua H3091 and said H559 to him in the sight H5869 of all H3605 Israel H3478, “Be strong H2388 and courageous H553, for you shall go H935 with this H2088 people H5971 into the land H776 which H834 Yahweh H3068 has sworn H7650 to their fathers H1 to give H5414 them, and you shall give H5157 it to them as H5157 an H5157 inheritance H5157.
Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to Moses H4872, “Behold H2005, [fn]the time H3117 for you to die H4191 is near H7126; call H7121 Joshua H3091 and present H3320 yourselves at the tent H168 of meeting H4150, that I may commission H6680 him.” So Moses H4872 and Joshua H3091 went H1980 and presented H3320 themselves at the tent H168 of meeting H4150.
“Yahweh H3068 came H935 from Sinai H5514,
And He [fn]dawned H2224 on them from Seir H8165;
He shone H3313 forth H3313 from Mount H2022 Paran H6290,
And He came H857 from the [fn]midst of ten H7233 thousand H7233 holy H6944 ones H6944;

Now Yahweh H3068 said H559 to Joshua H3091, “Do not fear H3372 or be dismayed H2865. Take H3947 all H3605 the people H5971 of war H4421 with you and arise H6965, go H5927 up H5927 to Ai H5857; see H7200, I have given H5414 into your hand H3027 the king H4428 of Ai H5857, his people H5971, his city H5892, and his land H776.
Thus Joshua H3091 struck H5221 all H3605 the land H776—the hill H2022 country H2022 and the [fn]Negev H5045 and the [fn]Shephelah H8219 and the slopes H794—as well as all H3605 their kings H4428. He left H7604 no H3808 survivor H8300 remaining H7604, but he devoted H2763 to destruction H2763 all H3605 who H5397 breathed H5397, just H834 as Yahweh H3068, the God H430 of Israel H3478, had commanded H6680.

Then the angel H4397 of Yahweh H3068 came H5927 up H5927 from Gilgal H1537 to Bochim H1066. And he said H559, “I brought H5927 you up H5927 out of Egypt H4714 and led H935 you into the land H776 which H834 I have sworn H7650 to your fathers H1; and I said H559, ‘I will never H3808 H5769 break H6565 My covenant H1285 with you,
Then the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 again H3254 did H6213 what H7451 was evil H7451 in the eyes H5869 of Yahweh H3068. Now it happened H1961 on the same H1931 night H3915 that Yahweh H3068 said H559 to him, “Take H3947 your father's H1 bull H6499 [fn]and a second H8145 bull H6499 seven H7651 years H8141 old, and pull H2040 down H2040 the altar H4196 of Baal H1168 which H834 belongs to your father H1, and cut H3772 down H3772 the [fn]Asherah H842 that is beside H5921 it,
Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to Gideon H1439, “The people H5971 are still H5750 too many H7227; bring H3381 them down H3381 to the water H4325, and I will test H6884 them for you there H8033. Then Zerubbabel H2216 the son H1121 of Shealtiel H7597, and Joshua H3091 the son H1121 of Jehozadak H3087, the high H1419 priest H3548, with all H3605 the remnant H7611 of the people H5971, listened H8085 to the voice H6963 of Yahweh H3068 their God H430 and the words H1697 of Haggai H2292 the prophet H5030, as Yahweh H3068 their God H430 had sent H7971 him. And the people H5971 feared H3372 Yahweh H3068.
“Thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635, ‘Let your hands H3027 be strong H2388, you who are listening H8085 in these H428 days H3117 to these H428 words H1697 from the mouth H6310 of the prophets H5030, those who H834 spoke in the day H3117 that the foundation H3245 of the house H1004 of Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635 was laid H3245, to the end that the temple H1964 might be built H1129.
“My anger H639 burns H2734 against H5921 the shepherds H7462,
And I will visit H6485 punishment upon the [fn]male H6260 goats H6260;
For Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635 has visited H6485 His flock H5739, the house H1004 of Judah H3063,
And will make H7760 them like His splendid H1935 horse H5483 in battle H4421.
“I will make the house H1004 of Judah H3063 mighty H1396,
And I will save H3467 the house H1004 of Joseph H3130,
And I will [fn]cause H7725 them to return H7725,
Because H3588 I have H7355 had compassion H7355 on H7355 them;
And they will be as though H834 I had not rejected H2186 them,
For I am Yahweh H3068 their God H430, and I will answer H6030 them.
“And it will be H1961 in that day H3117,” declares H5002 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635, “that I will cut H3772 off H3772 the names H8034 of the idols H6091 from the land H776, and they will no H3808 longer H5750 be remembered H2142; and I will also H1571 cause the prophets H5030 and the unclean H2932 spirit H7307 to pass H5674 away H5674 from the land H776.
“Awake H5782, O sword H2719, against H5921 My Shepherd H7462
And against H5921 the man H1397, My Associate H5997,”
Declares H5002 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635.
“Strike H5221 the Shepherd H7462 that the sheep H6629 may be scattered H6327;
And I will turn H7725 My hand H3027 [fn]against H5921 the little H6819 ones.
Now this H2088 will be the plague H4046 with which H834 Yahweh H3068 will plague H5062 all H3605 the peoples H5971 who H834 have gone H6633 to war H6633 against H5921 Jerusalem H3389; their flesh H1320 will rot H4743 while they stand H5975 on their feet H7272, and their eyes H5869 will rot H4743 in their sockets H2356, and their tongue H3956 will rot H4743 in their mouth H6310.
“‘A son H1121 honors H3513 his father H1, and a slave H5650 his master H113. Then if H518 I am a father H1, where H346 is My honor H3519? And if H518 I am a master H113, where H346 is the fear H4172 of Me?' says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635 to you, O priests H3548 who despise H959 My name H8034. But you say H559, ‘How H4100 have we despised H959 Your name H8034?'
“Behold H2009, I am going to send H7971 My [fn]messenger H4397, and he will [fn]prepare H6437 the way H1870 before H6440 Me. And the Lord H113, whom H834 you seek H1245, will suddenly H6597 come H935 to His temple H1964; [fn]and the [fn]messenger H4397 of the covenant H1285, in whom H834 you delight H2655, behold H2009, He is coming H935,” says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635.
“Then I will draw H7126 near H7126 to you for judgment H4941; and I will be a swift H4116 witness H5707 against the sorcerers H3784 and against the adulterers H5003 and against those who swear H7650 falsely H8267 and against those who oppress H6231 the wage H7916 earner H7916 in his wages H7939, the widow H490 and the [fn]orphan H3490, and those who turn H5186 aside H5186 the sojourner H1616 and do not [fn]fear H3372 Me,” says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635.
Then H227 those who [fn]feared H3372 Yahweh H3068 spoke H1696 to one H376 another H7453, and Yahweh H3068 gave H7181 heed H7181 and heard H8085 it, and a book H5612 of remembrance H2146 was written H3789 before H6440 Him for those who [fn]fear H3372 Yahweh H3068 and who think H2803 upon His name H8034.
“[fn]For behold H2009, the day H3117 is coming H935, burning H1197 like a furnace H8574; and all H3605 the arrogant H2086 and every H3605 worker H6213 of wickedness H7564 will be chaff H7179; and the day H3117 that is coming H935 will set H3857 them aflame H3857,” says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635, “so H834 that H834 it will leave H5800 them neither H3808 root H8328 nor H3808 branch H6057.”
