So H3651 I will act H6213 on behalf H4616 of My slaves H5650

“They will not lament H5594 for him:
‘Alas H1945, my brother H251!' or, ‘Alas H1945, sister H269!'

‘Alas H1945 for the master H113!' or, ‘Alas H1945 for his splendor H1935!'
‘But like the rotten H7451 figs H8384 which H834 cannot H3808 be eaten H398 due H4480 to rottenness H7455—indeed H3588, thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068—so H3651 I will give H5414 over Zedekiah H6667 king H4428 of Judah H3063 and his officials H8269 and the remnant H7611 of Jerusalem H3389 who remain H7604 in this H2088 land H776 and the ones who inhabit H3427 the land H776 of Egypt H4714.
“They will come H935 and sing H7442 for H7442 joy H7442 on the height H4791 of Zion H6726,
And they will be radiant H5102 over H413 the goodness H2898 of Yahweh H3068—
Over H5921 the grain H1715 and the new H8492 wine H8492 and the oil H3323,
And over H5921 the young H1121 of the flock H6629 and the herd H1241;
And their soul H5315 will be like a watered H7302 garden H1588,

Then Jeremiah H3414 said H559 to Zedekiah H6667, “Thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068 God H430 of hosts H6635, the God H430 of Israel H3478, ‘If H518 you will indeed H3318 go H3318 out H3318 to the [fn]officers H8269 of the king H4428 of Babylon H894, then [fn]you will live H2421, this H2088 city H5892 will not be burned H8313 with fire H784, and you and your household H1004 will live H2421.

For thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635, the God H430 of Israel H3478, “As My anger H639 and wrath H2534 have been poured H5413 out H5413 on the inhabitants H3427 of Jerusalem H3389, so H3651 My wrath H2534 will be poured H5413 out H5413 on you when you enter H935 Egypt H4714. And you will become H1961 a curse H423, an object H8047 of H8047 horror H8047, an imprecation H7045, and a reproach H2781; and you will see H7200 this H2088 place H4725 no H3808 more H5750.”
“O Jacob H3290 My servant H5650, do not fear H3372,” declares H5002 Yahweh H3068,
“For I am with you.
For I will make H6213 a complete H3617 destruction H3617 of all H3605 the nations H1471
Where H834 H8033 I have banished H5080 you,
Yet I will not make H6213 a complete H3617 destruction H3617 of you;
But I will discipline H3256 you with justice H4941

For thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068, “Behold H2009, those who H834 are not under judgment H4941 to drink H8354 the cup H3563 will certainly H8354 drink H8354 it, but are you the one H1931 who will go completely H5352 unpunished H5352? You will not go unpunished H5352, but you will certainly H8354 drink H8354 it.
Thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635,
“The broad H7342 wall H2346 of Babylon H894 will be completely H6209 razed H6209,
And her high H1364 gates H8179 will be set H3341 on fire H784;
So the peoples H5971 will toil H3021 for nothing H1767 H7385,
And the nations H3816 become H3286 weary H3286 only for fire H784.”

“As for you, O house H1004 of Israel H3478,” thus H3541 says H559 Lord H136 Yahweh H3068, “Go H1980, serve H5647 everyone H376 his idols H1544; [fn]but after H310 this you will surely H518 H369 listen H8085 to Me, and My holy H6944 name H8034 you will profane H2490 no H3808 longer H5750 with your gifts H4979 and with your idols H1544.
“Because H3282 your heart H3820 is H1361 lofty H1361
And you have said H559, ‘I am a god H410;
I sit H3427 enthroned in the seat H4186 of [fn]gods H430
In the heart H3820 of the seas H3220';
Yet you are a man H120 and not God H410,
Although you make H5414 your heart H3820 like the heart H3820 of God H430—
“I will abandon H5203 you to the wilderness H4057, you and all H3605 the fish H1710 of your canals H2975 of the Nile H2975;
You will fall H5307 on the [fn]open H6440 field H7704; you will not be brought H622 together H622 or [fn]gathered H6908.
I have given H5414 you for food H402 to the beasts H2416 of the earth H776 and to the birds H5775 of the sky H8064.
“And My holy H6944 name H8034 I will make H3045 known H3045 in the midst H8432 of My people H5971 Israel H3478; and I will not let H2490 My holy H6944 name H8034 be H2490 profaned H2490 anymore H5750. ‘This H1836 is the dream H2493 which I, King H4430 Nebuchadnezzar H5020, have seen H2370. And His kingdom H4437 is one which H1768 will not be destroyed H2255,
“And to Him was given H3052 [fn]dominion H7985,
Glory H3367, and a kingdom H4437,
That all H3606 the peoples H5972, nations H524, and men of every tongue H3961
Might serve H6399 Him.
His [fn]dominion H7985 is an everlasting H5957 [fn]dominion H7985

“And I also H1571 withheld H4513 the rain H1653 from you

Though H3588 the fig H8384 tree H8384 should not blossom H6524
And there H369 be H369 no H369 produce H2981 on the vines H1612,
Though the yield H4639 of the olive H2132 should fail H3584
And the fields H7709 yield H6213 no H3808 food H400,
Though the flock H6629 should be cut H1504 off H1504 from the fold H4356
And there H369 be H369 no H369 cattle H1241 in the stalls H7517,
Neither H1571 H3808 their silver H3701 nor H1571 their gold H2091
Will be H3201 able H3201 to deliver H5337 them
On the day H3117 of the fury H5678 of Yahweh H3068;

In the fire H784 of His jealousy H7068,

Then the angel H4397 of Yahweh H3068 answered H6030 and said H559, “O Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635, how H4970 long H5704 H4970 will You have H7355 no H3808 compassion H7355 for H7355 Jerusalem H3389 and the cities H5892 of Judah H3063, with which H834 You have been H2194 indignant H2194 these H2088 seventy H7657 years H8141?”
“[fn]For behold H2009, the day H3117 is coming H935, burning H1197 like a furnace H8574; and all H3605 the arrogant H2086 and every H3605 worker H6213 of wickedness H7564 will be chaff H7179; and the day H3117 that is coming H935 will set H3857 them aflame H3857,” says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635, “so H834 that H834 it will leave H5800 them neither H3808 root H8328 nor H3808 branch H6057.”
