1 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

2 “Tell ^H1696 Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121 to be ^H5144 careful ^H5144 with the holy ^H6944 gifts of the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, which ^H834 they set ^H6942 apart ^H6942 to Me as ^H6942 holy ^H6942, so as not to profane ^H2490 My holy ^H6944 name ^H8034; I am Yahweh ^H3068. 3 Say ^H559 to them, ‘If any ^H3605 man ^H376 among ^H4480 all ^H3605 your seed ^H2233 throughout your generations ^H1755 comes ^H7126 near ^H7126 to the holy ^H6944 gifts which ^H834 the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 set ^H6942 apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942 to Yahweh ^H3068, and he has an uncleanness ^H2932, that person ^H5315 shall be cut ^H3772 off ^H3772 from before ^H4480 H6440 Me; I am Yahweh ^H3068. 4 No ^H376 H3808 man ^H376 of the seed ^H2233 of Aaron ^H175, who ^H1931 is a leper ^H6879 or ^H176 who has a discharge ^H2100, may eat ^H398 of the holy ^H6944 gifts until ^H5704 H834 he is ^H2891 clean ^H2891. And if one touches ^H5060 anything ^H3605 made unclean ^H2931 by a corpse ^H5315, or ^H176 if a man ^H376 has ^H3318 a seminal ^H7902 H2233 emission ^H7902, 5 or ^H176 if a man ^H376 touches ^H5060 any ^H3605 teeming ^H8318 things ^H8318 by which ^H834 he is made ^H2930 unclean ^H2930 or ^H176 any ^H120 man ^H120 by whom ^H834 he is made ^H2930 unclean ^H2930, whatever ^H3605 his uncleanness ^H2932, 6 a [fn]person ^H5315 who ^H834 touches ^H5060 any such thing shall be ^H2930 unclean ^H2930 until ^H5704 evening ^H6153 and shall not eat ^H398 of the holy ^H6944 gifts unless ^H3588 H518 he has bathed ^H7364 his [fn]body ^H1320 in water ^H4325. 7 But the sun ^H8121 will set ^H935, and he will be ^H2891 clean ^H2891. And afterward ^H310 he shall eat ^H398 of the holy ^H6944 gifts, for it is his [fn]food ^H3899. 8 He shall not eat ^H398 an animal which ^H5038 dies ^H5038 or is torn ^H2966 by beasts, becoming ^H2930 unclean ^H2930 by it; I am Yahweh ^H3068. 9 They shall therefore keep ^H8104 My charge ^H4931 so that they will not bear ^H5375 sin ^H2399 because ^H5921 of it and die ^H4191 thereby because ^H3588 they profane ^H2490 it; I am Yahweh ^H3068 who makes ^H6942 them holy ^H3068.

10 ‘No ^H3808 [fn]layman ^H2114, however, is to eat ^H398 the holy ^H6944 gift; a foreign ^H8453 resident ^H8453 with the priest ^H3548 or a hired ^H7916 man ^H7916 shall not eat ^H398 of the holy ^H6944 gift. 11 But if ^H3588 a priest ^H3548 buys ^H7069 a person ^H5315 as his property ^H7075 with his money ^H3701, [fn]that one ^H1931 may eat ^H398 of it, and those ^H1992 who are born ^H3211 in his house ^H1004 may eat ^H398 of his [fn]food ^H3899. 12 If ^H3588 a priest’s ^H3548 daughter ^H1323 is married ^H802 to a [fn]layman ^H2114, she shall not eat ^H398 of the [fn]contribution ^H8641 of the holy ^H6944 gifts. 13 But if ^H3588 a priest’s ^H3548 daughter ^H1323 becomes ^H1961 a widow ^H490 or divorced ^H1644, and has ^H369 no ^H369 seed ^H2233, and returns ^H7725 to her father’s ^H1 house ^H1004 as in her youth ^H5271, she shall eat ^H398 of her father’s ^H1 [fn]food ^H3899; but no ^H3808 H3605 [fn]layman ^H2114 shall eat ^H398 of it. 14 But if ^H3588 a man ^H376 eats ^H398 a holy ^H6944 gift unintentionally ^H7684, then he shall add ^H3254 to it a fifth ^H2549 of it and shall give ^H5414 the holy ^H6944 gift to the priest ^H3548. 15 They shall not profane ^H2490 the holy ^H6944 gifts of the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 which ^H834 they raise ^H7311 up ^H7311 to Yahweh ^H3068, 16 and so cause them to bear ^H5375 [fn]punishment ^H5771 for guilt ^H819 by eating ^H398 their holy ^H6944 gifts; for I am Yahweh ^H3068 who makes ^H6942 them holy ^H6942.’”

Offerings Without Blemish

17 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

18 “Speak ^H1696 to Aaron ^H175 and to his sons ^H1121 and to all ^H3605 the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and say ^H559 to them, ‘Any ^H376 man ^H376 of the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478 or of the sojourners ^H1616 in Israel ^H3478 who ^H834 brings ^H7126 near ^H7126 his offering ^H7133, whether it is any ^H3605 of their [fn]votive ^H5088 or any ^H3605 of their freewill ^H5071 offerings ^H5071, which ^H834 they bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068 for a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930— 19 for you to be accepted ^H7522—it must be a male ^H2145 without ^H8549 blemish ^H8549 from the cattle ^H1241, the sheep ^H3775, or the goats ^H5795. 20 Whatever ^H3605 H834 has a defect ^H3971, you shall not bring ^H7126 it near ^H7126, for it will not be accepted ^H7522 for you. 21 And when ^H3588 a man ^H376 brings ^H7126 a sacrifice ^H2077 of peace ^H8002 offerings ^H8002 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068 to [fn]fulfill ^H6381 a ^H6381 special ^H6381 vow ^H5088 or ^H176 for a freewill ^H5071 offering ^H5071, of the herd ^H1241 or ^H176 of the flock ^H6629, it must be without ^H8549 blemish ^H8549 to be accepted ^H7522; there shall be no ^H3808 H3605 defect ^H3971 in it. 22 Those that are blind ^H5788 or ^H176 fractured ^H7665 or ^H176 maimed ^H2782 or ^H176 have a running ^H2990 sore ^H2990 or ^H176 eczema ^H1618 or ^H176 scabs ^H3217, you shall not bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068 nor ^H3808 make ^H5414 of them an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 on the altar ^H4196 to Yahweh ^H3068. 23 Now in respect to an ox ^H7794 or a lamb ^H7716 which has [fn]an overgrown ^H8311 or stunted ^H7038 member, you may offer ^H6213 it for a freewill ^H5071 offering ^H5071, but for a votive ^H5088 offering ^H5088 it will not be accepted ^H7521. 24 Also anything with its testicles bruised ^H4600 or crushed ^H3807 or torn ^H5423 or cut ^H3772, you shall not bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068, and you shall not do ^H6213 thus in your land ^H776, 25 nor ^H3808 shall you bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 any ^H4480 H3605 such ^H428 thing from the hand ^H3027 of a foreigner ^H1121 H5236 for offering ^H7126 as the [fn]food ^H3899 of your God ^H430; for their corruption ^H4893 is in them, they have a defect ^H3971; they shall not be accepted ^H7521 for you.’”

26 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559, 27 “When ^H3588 an ox ^H7794 or ^H176 a sheep ^H3775 or ^H176 a goat ^H5795 is born ^H3205, it shall [fn]remain ^H1961 seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 [fn]with its mother ^H517, and from the eighth ^H8066 day ^H3117 on it shall be accepted ^H7521 as a sacrifice ^H7133 of an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068. 28 But, whether it is an ox ^H7794 or ^H176 a sheep ^H7716, you shall not slaughter ^H7819 both it and its young ^H1121 in one ^H259 day ^H3117. 29 And when ^H3588 you sacrifice ^H2076 a sacrifice ^H2077 of thanksgiving ^H8426 to Yahweh ^H3068, you shall sacrifice ^H2076 it so that you may be accepted ^H7522. 30 It shall be eaten ^H398 on the same ^H1931 day ^H3117; you shall leave ^H3498 none ^H3808 of it until ^H5704 morning ^H1242; I am Yahweh ^H3068. 31 So you shall keep ^H8104 My commandments ^H4687 and do ^H6213 them; I am Yahweh ^H3068.

32 “And you shall not profane ^H2490 My holy ^H6944 name ^H8034, but I will be treated ^H6942 as holy ^H6942 among ^H8432 the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478; I am Yahweh ^H3068 who makes ^H6942 you holy ^H6942, 33 who brought ^H3318 you out ^H3318 from the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714 to be your God ^H430; I am Yahweh ^H3068.”
