Translations for 1 Peter 4:1
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

© Info

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us[fn] in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

© Info

So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.[fn]

© Info

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.

© Info

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh,[fn] arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

© Info

Therefore, since Christ suffered[fn] in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding[fn] — because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished with sin[fn] —

© Info

Therefore, since Christ has [fn]suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has [fn]suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

© Info

Therefore, since Christ has [fn]suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has [fn]suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

© Info

Therefore, since Christ has [fn]suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose—because he who has [fn]suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin

© Info

Therefore, since [fn]Christ suffered in the flesh [and died for us], arm yourselves [like warriors] with the same purpose [being willing to suffer for doing what is right and pleasing God], because whoever has suffered in the flesh [being like-minded with Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [having stopped pleasing the world],

© Info

So, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same attitude, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin,

© Info

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same thought, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

© Info

Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

© Info

Christ, then, having suffered for us in the flesh, ye also with the same mind arm yourselves, because he who did suffer in the flesh hath done with sin,

© Info

Christ, then, having suffered for us in the flesh, do *ye* also arm yourselves with the same mind; for he that has suffered in the flesh has done with sin,

© Info

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

© Info

Forasmuch then as Messiah suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;

© Info

© Info

© Info

PUES que Cristo ha padecido por nosotros en la carne, vosotros también estad armados del mismo pensamiento: que el que ha padecido en la carne, cesó de pecado;

© Info

© Info

So that as Jesus was put to death in the flesh, do you yourselves be of the same mind; for the death of the flesh puts an end to sin;

© Info

© Info

© Info

© Info

Pues que el Cristo ha padecido por nosotros en la carne, vosotros también estad armados del mismo pensamiento; que el que ha padecido en la carne, cesó de pecado;

The Textus Receptus (latin, "Received Text") is the Greek text originally compiled by Erasmus around 1516. Though the earliest work was prepared by Desiderius Erasmus, his work was later revised by Robert Estienne (or, Stephanus) and further revised by Theodore Beza. The text produced by each is substantially the same, aside from some minor variations. The Blue Letter Bible utilizes Stephanus' edition from 1550.
