But in response, Ittai vowed to the king, “As the LORD lives and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king is, whether it means life or death, your servant will be there! ”

But Ittai answered the king and said, “As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king may be, whether for death or for life, there assuredly shall your servant be!”

But Ittai answered the king and said, “As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely wherever my lord the king may be, whether for death or for life, there also your servant will be.”

καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Εθθι τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ εἶπεν ζῇ κύριος καὶ ζῇ κύριός μου βασιλεύς ὅτι εἰς τὸν τόπον οὗ ἐὰν κύριός μου καὶ ἐὰν εἰς θάνατον καὶ ἐὰν εἰς ζωήν ὅτι ἐκεῖ ἔσται δοῦλός σου

فَأَجَابَ إِتَّايُ الْمَلِكَ وَقَالَ: «حَيٌّ هُوَ الرَّبُّ وَحَيٌّ سَيِّدِي الْمَلِكُ، إِنَّهُ حَيْثُمَا كَانَ سَيِّدِي الْمَلِكُ، إِنْ كَانَ لِلْمَوْتِ أَوْ لِلْحَيَاةِ، فَهُنَاكَ يَكُونُ عَبْدُكَ أَيْضًا».

وَلَكِنَّ إِتَّايَ أَجَابَ الْمَلِكَ: «حَيٌّ هُوَ الرَّبُّ وَحَيٌّ هُوَ سَيِّدِي الْمَلِكُ، أَنَّهُ حَيْثُمَا يَتَوَجَّهُ سَيِّدِي الْمَلِكُ، سَوَاءٌ كَانَ لِلْحَيَاةِ أَمْ لِلْمَوْتِ، يَتَوَجَّهُ عَبْدُكَ أَيْضاً».

And Ethi answered the king and said, As the Lord lives and as my lord the king lives, in the place wheresoever my lord shall be, whether it be for death or life, there shall thy servant be.
